If America is like Rome, probably like the Gracchi. A figure whose failures are remembered for what they caused or failed to fix. Trump may end up a footnote if that. Only a symptom at the start of decline. This could go any way really.
Trump's campaign may become the actual blueprint for what the press said Trump was. Someone who is smarter, more able to manipulate the system likely from inside, someone who can organize far better. Not an American Hitler, but an American dictator figure. Maybe we get a Hispanic caudillo leader, I don't know. Stuff depends on if demographics do really become destiny.
America could also slowly dissolve in the next century or two. Trump may not be remembered at all. No more unified history, no more unified nation. Don't think it will happen, but it is possible.

He was just some real estate developer who knew how to pander to a crowd. We likely won't know his true real legacy for a decade or two. Super optimistic, but yeah, even after the capitol siege there will remain staunch Trump loyalists even though a bunch of them feel betrayed or abandoned right now.
