Well, now that I've gotten both sleep and time to think, maybe I can put my thoughts together in a less glowy manner.
>In the grand picture:
I see this as a follow-up and escalation to the events in Richmond about this time last year, if you compared the footage, I would not be surprised if you found a significant amount of faces appearing in both. I am not glad it happened, but frankly it was inevitable something like this was going to happen.
>Babbit:
Combat casualty: she knowingly went into a potentially deadly situation, and she died. I'm neither going to prop her up as a martyr or deem it an execution. Interesting to note is that the footage of her death is the only footage I've yet seen where there was an armed protestor present, and I suspect that the officer's thought process was somewhere along the lines of "oh shit, gun!" *shoots* *misses*. I'll wait for the statement of the DC police department before coming to a conclusion, though.
But that's just the perspective of a soldier viewing this as a brewing war.
>i-It wAs AnTiFa!
Shut the fuck up you coward. I fucking swear, every single person that's been saying shit is coming for years has started parroting this line. I'm sorry things didn't go down according to your pretty little mental picture, now stop cucking out and screaming about how doomed we are.
>Bombs:
I don't even fucking know, man, finding the line between mob action and planned action, much less if there were multiple groups involved, is going to be nigh impossible.
>Where we stand now:
Depending on who writes the history books, this event is going to be remembered in the same breath as one of two events: the Boston Tea Party, or the Reichtag fire. We are on the war path, and the lines have been drawn. Expect the patriots to be armed the next time something like this happens.
>Was this terrorism:
By the technical definition of "politically motivated violence", yes it was. Technically, if we get into an argument about politics and I hit you, that's also terrorism.
>Thread theme:
You've been playing too many Sabaton meme songs, and overlooking the rest of their catalog.
>Meme dump:
I disavow all of these.
