Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

Its actually kind of complicated regarding nukes. If Trump said 'i want to nuke Toronto' it would probably be considered an unlawful order. But if he said 'nuke north korean nuclear sites' I doubt they would refuse. Even if they have misgivings most of the officers in the military have no issue with finally dealing with North Korea. The military mindset is predicated on assuming the worst so for soldiers shooting first while the enemy is still weak is considered preferable to later. It depends on what Trump would order. Exactly how it would go and whether the VP would be informed in time its complicated. The brass wants this to be over but they also want to deal with emerging threats while they are still considered containable. So while they might not like it most generals would view a strike on Iran or NK as a good thing for America in the long run.

I remember he said Pence should be put up to a firing squad which is just stupid given the reasoning for it being based on misconception of what Pence can do.
This is the sheer stupidity I'd expect of a high school dropout boomer who doesn't even know what a constitution is. It's completely unforgivable for an alleged lawyer and suggests he doesn't have the foggiest fucking clue what he's doing. Supposedly Pence is a "traitor" for NOT breaking the law and taking a steaming shit on his oath of office.

Yeah like Pence was just doing his job, he didn't want to lose but he knows he should put his job over his own personal feelings. It didn't exactly help manners that every legal avenue to contest the election has been tried

On a side note, just due to my not really knowing much how this works, if Trump were impeached or removed via 25A, would his pardons still stand? Part of me feels like removing him at this point, when we're just days from inauguration, is mainly posturing and a waste of time, unless they are doing it to overturn things he's done in recent months?
Sorry, missed that one at first: No, they can't just retroactively remove his pardons; that would effectively be a double jeopardy. I'm not exactly a legal expert, but to the best of my knowledge, neither the judiciary nor legislative branches have any power to override or veto a Presidential Pardon, according to the U.S. Constitution.

You'd be better off asking someone like AnOminous, but I don't believe it can be done.

That's the thing, he has to realize his goose is cooked. If he tries anything, I think enough Republicans will break ranks to impeach him, or, however reluctant he may be, Pence will invoke the 25th. If Trump's still being a petulant baby at 12:00 on the 20th, the Secret Service will haul his ass out (Please, PLEASE let the Secret Service haul his ass out, I want to see that on TV so bad)

Honestly the fact he conceded and is helping the transition of power shows he knows he is fucked and he already said he won't go to the inauguration. He has all but admitted to Biden winning.

As for his upcoming impeachment, as I said in another thread it's likely to make sure he doesn't run for public office ever again. Personally, I think it's pointless but I can understand why since he was partially responsible for what happened on Wednesday by encouraging people to come protest at the capitol. Trump objectively fucked himself over in his last year of office and dug a bigger grave for himself these last two months.

That bit that cracks me up is complete lack of critical thinking(fucking shocker I know), that if a VP actually had this power, there would never be single term president in the history of the presidency. Every one of them would just have their VP overturn the results.

After being investigated for the Attack on the Capitol, a Cleveland, OH teacher resigns. This is her resignation letter.

Girl, bye. Trump created his following. He didn't just decide to join his base, he fostered his base. If you wanna write Trump fanfic to explain the fact he's a legit grifter and retard, take it to A&N.
There are two types of trump supporters:
Accelerationists and those looking for a savior.

The former voted for trump as a means to disrupt polite society and give them woke scolds the middle finger. Those people dont love trump. They seen him as a grenade with a pin pulled. A tool of agitation.

The second type are the real looneys. The horned shaman who went into the capital building is one of them.

If trump was anything they wanted him to be (and you claim he is) he wouldve over thrown the republic a long time ago.

Trump isnt capable of making a movement. He tried that with the birther shit during Obama run and was laughed at for it. He got no where with it.

He just started saying things that pissed off powerful and uppidy people and the voters took notice.

I think about the only way it could be overturned would be if it's literally a pardon he can't grant. I don't think he could pardon himself. While I don't think there's a precedent for it, I think that's because it's so obvious he can't. He also can't pardon state cases, so if he tried to do that, I think that could be disregarded. Otherwise, though, the power is nearly absolute.

Girl, you've literally been calling for a revolution in the Insurrection thread, now you're gonna come here and "school" us about what Trump is and isn't? Trump is a retard. He's a grifter and a conman. He's a pedophile. But he also did create a movement, and all this seems like is someone trying to explain away why they followed a career conman.

Call for revolution? No i was predicting how one will play out and describing how this whole system is collapsing of its own accord.

Explain away what? Someone asked why theyd expect loyalty from him. I answered that question and you misrepresented it as a positive statement for him.

The second was post was another explanation of how his supporters actually see him versus how you perceive and believe how they see him.

Mispresented again.
Either youre incapable of nuance which means youre not worth talking to, misrepresenting what I say as a troll (which still means you aint worth responding to) or you bought into anti trump narratives. Which means youre going to misrepresent anything else I say as a politcal power play.

If he was capable of creating a movement then the democrats wouldve been in serious trouble. He wasnt and he aint. He was a turd conservatives tossed into the white house to stink up the place and nothing more.

He's right, though!!! Twitter has always been the first way danger was communicated by the President, how can they endanger us all? Remember the air raid drills in the 50s, when Eisenhower would tweet "Low energy Krushchev just launched nukes. WE WILL LAUNCH BACK! Get under the table."

Also, I love how they assume that if China sent nukes our way it would be Trump who would know before anyone else in the country. Not like we have intelligence agencies and people monitoring this.
