It would put Ted Cruz into badass status if he where to pull that on Texas and restore its right to secede, it would be so much chaos the salt mining would be legendary
Cruz always has been and always will be an unlikable rat. I don't know where the "badass status" came from but it's certainly not a trait he's demonstrated.

thats why i said "IT WOULD", not "he will", it was just hyperbole, i don't think that would happen in a 100 years, unless some other big unexpected event leads to it, and it probably won't be Ted Cruz if it where to happen

But not dead, and now with absolutely nothing left to lose. 76 million people.

Yes, that will surely turn down the temperature :story:
Of course they won't kill them. Better to keep them as a scapegoat and warning to the rest if they step out of line.

Keep your enemies alive and demoralized so you have an enemy. That's how all dictatorships work.

Little reminder for everybody: WE'RE STILL UNDER A PANDEMIC.
Nigger, this is (yet more) proof it's fake and gay and the powers that be know it. They're not mentioning it because they simply forgot to keep propagating it (or don't want it to overshadow the whole "insurrection"), it's not them being apathetic to people dying or whatevs.

I hate to admit it, but I really don't care about the capitol being "attacked". I find it so strange that after 6 months of the left destroying everything, they are agasped at the entering of terrorist into the sacred holy capitol. Seeing the hand carved wood, fancy carpet and frosted glass everywhere (I've never been in the capitol or thought much about it).. I am reminded that it was the tax payers that built it and own it. It is now full of people that care nothing about us. They show up everyday for "work" , look around at the fancy decor and think "this is the life, I deserve this" all the while killing 90% of the population. The first thing that came to mind when I first saw this, was the old capitalism pyramid painting. I am a proud american and supporter of capitalism. I guess I still am, but at this moment I am so unsure about many things. I feel like this "situation" (two groups of a population seeing the same thing and having wildly different conclusions) has been played out time and time again through history. I'm just shocked at how the "internet" was once a source of great unconventional truths, and now it has been turned into a complete mess where a handful of sites have brainwashed so many.

My mom is a typical boomer. Divorced like 6 or 7 or 8 times (too lazy to count right now). Didn't graduate high school but every 2-3 years when I was growing up, we'd move into a brand new house we'd just paid for and had custom built. I gave up trying to build or even buy a new house for my family and just bought a mobile home in the woods. But the point I make is about the media she consumes.
Lots of typical right wing stuff, fox news, Rush, and other random local AM talk shows that are right wing. I see her maybe 4 times a year and there's always at least one "political rant" in our visits. I am right wing too, so don't mind. But I can tell some of what she consumes is border line conspiracy theory. But that is right wing media, and I really don't care. I don't care if she believes in something that makes her keep her guard up and realize that the public and the government doesn't have the best interest for her.

Right wing media seems to be about keeping your own personal rights and liberties. It puts your own personal mindset onto "yourself" and your well being. That is not really a bad thing. We should put our own selves and family first above that of others. If you cannot swim, would you jump in to save someone?

Contrast this with left wing media. It only seems to emasculate and preach why it is good for you to give up your own rights, and even give up your own money, all for the "betterment" of strangers. It's like the other end of 1950's fundamentalist church preaching where if you went to church you were somehow morally superior to all those around you. And now that church isn't popular, it is somehow seen as morally superior to vote for policies that strip away even more of your rights and your money. A left wing person wouldn't dare take $16k of their own money and drop it on the lap of a homeless person or someone struggling, but they are perfectly fine handing that chunk to the government while posting on social media about how higher taxes are a blessing to the world. And those that disagree with this, are seen as.. well, you know how they are seen. I hoped waking up on Nov 5th would mean "normal" again. And before that, I hoped waking up on Jan 1, 2021 would be a year of "normal" again. But, fuuuuu

So you could say that the civil war is now cold. How long before things get hot, especially since it doesn’t look like either side is really chomping to get direct outside of the fringes?

What am I looking at?
You have asked an excellent question. Could depend on what you call "hot". I don't see any large-scale violence and am not encouraging anyone to violence. Can see a lot of individual violent acts, on the level of the Irish "troubles". I see cyberwarfare, which is very well suited to the present situation.

Some areas will have little or nothing happen there. Other areas will see trouble. Civil War 2.0 will happen unevenly.

There's a pretty big difference between some soy boy saying "reeee you're a terrorist" and taking a hot load of intravenous death strapped to a gurney in Terre Haute.
I think that’s what’s keeping things from popping off. The right doesn’t have that level of hatred and lack of empathy and dedication needed for that kind of action ...but the left most certainly does.

My bad, for some reason I thought you wrote "back into badass status."

That said, there's zero chance of Cruz ever doing anything that doesn't benefit himself first and foremost. He latched onto Trump like a remora and now that the tides have turned he's jumping off the dying carcass to find a new grift, praying that that he can keep his spot pending his next tilt at the presidential windmill.

White supremacism wasn't what invaded the capitol building, this was random people from the internet.

Enjoy passing laws and spinning your wheels and then being surprised when the same shit happens again but they come in actually armed next time.
The laws are painted in whatever coat is convenient, but the real goal is to just expand powers and reach.

How long before we see Minecraft display a leftist pulling an OKC or New Zealan? They have the capacity to do either of them thanks to the hatred and lack of empathy toward the potential victims.
lol why would they?
They've got the whole system (government, corporations, media) on their side now.
There's absolutely no benefit to gay grassroots violence when you can press the boot on your opponent's face in a top-down, perfectly legal and "peaceful" manner.

I think The Troubles is good way to put it. When I say “hot”, I consider it to be both sides going “fuck it” and just start blasting away, whether it’s guns, bombings, stabbing sprees, or whatever else. Full on paramilitary units dishing out punishment, having funerals that are treated like political ones or a regular military funeral, and even doing things like having communities of their supporters paint murals and political parties being accused of being a wing (I don’t think our two party system will have that aspect).

Given that our country is more spread out than Belfast and Derry, and most strongholds are pretty far apart? How long before...all of this?
