Microsoft will probably follow suit, if Google does something similar to Mozilla with Chrome, and after that, there's 0.1% of phones that can access either site from phone apps (since Google and Apple dominate 99.9% of the mobile device OS market. The only browsers that will be able to do it will be Brave and Opera, but I'm pretty sure I remember something about Opera starting to show signs of wokeness, so it might be down to Brave, and I was pretty sure Brave is barred from payment processors, or has been, in the past.

I've come across people swearing up and down that section 230 allows Google and Apple to restrict Gab and Parler from the app stores, based on allegations of non-compliance with the moderation requirements imposed by 230, but both sites/apps have moderation that complies with 230.
