I like it, the colors work better and the milk bone design is very cute. Also, the people aren't as freakishly proportioned. Yes it's stylized, but most of them aren't weirdly obese with no fingers. It looks like she put actual thought into it.
I disagree. Her portfolio isn't the biggest dumpster fire I've seen, but she's contributing to the ever growing sea of androgynous brown blob people.
Are these supposed to be women or troons? Are they standing by a window or is that a painting in their house?
This is a "womxn", whatever that is. Is she sitting? Is she bored? What's the point? Other than to not hurt anyone's feelings, I mean.
Is this lady sitting at a table while looking at a bowl and plant on another table? Is she wearing a maxi skirt? Is she under a blanket? I don't know what I'm looking at. And if wasn't for the exposed bra I would have assumed it was a man.
So there's a black woman, a brown guy, and I don't know what's happening on the right. Is it a lady with her arm around another person? Is she sitting with her legs pulled in? I guess the theme is sunset at the lake, but it's just so unpleasant to look at. Sunsets over water are nice and warm, this is not. It's a muddy sunburned eyesore. Also this was apparently some award winning piece.
There are a few images that look like they took effort and planning. Like this one.
Wow, an established light source, shadows, and I can tell that there's a man and a child. I don't have to guess genders or ages. It wasn't farted out in PS or procreate or whatever in under 5 minutes. I'm not saying that simple art styles are bad, because they're not. At the same time, though, I've never once looked at an androgynous blob or a deformed purple tiny headed human and thought, wow, that's creative, I'd like to see more work from this person! It's pandering, it's ugly, and it's taking over. Sorry to everyone who took years to understand anatomy, light, shadows, linear perspective, color theory, and many other things. Your skills and ideas are no match for the faceless blob monsters.
I guess such "art" is worth the money, but the artists still shouldn't neglect whatever skills they have. Facebook Alegria is already a thing, so how long before JS Weis or someone else creates a website that has a "make art" button? Then all of these pandering websites and magazines can create their own misshapen Silent Hill looking abominations in seconds for free.
