I was referring to the Kaman campaign but was typing fast and too lazy to go back a page to get the name. Their Kickstarter says those statues were 3d printed as opposed to your PVC.

With 3D printing your costs are just resin and time. With molded figures you're looking at tens of thousands in tooling before the first one is even produced. Maybe I'm wrong.

You're not. 3D printing doesn't scale well to mass production but is economical for small batches. Injection molds are massively expensive to make and aren't really economical unless you're planning to pump out tens of thousands of something... or planning to massively overcharge idiots for crappy plastic tat.

Fair enough, I haven't been paying much attention to him lately. I always pegged him as someone who saw comics as a platform to fight the social war (which applies to several CG'ers) but if he's actually outputting that much art, good for him.

Love him or hate him I don't think any president in the last 50 years has had more support from the "common man" than Trump. I don't think these CNN addicted cases of TDS have any idea of what's actually going on.

I think the fact that Doug has over 400,000 more eyes to look at his next book will result in more sales than average. A lot of these new fans will be good for a pump or two in sales.

Question is, will he make the pivot? I take no position on that and I haven't seen Doug pivot yet.

But remember what I said earlier. The math you run is 1%. If he converts just one percent of 400,000 people, assuming they purchase the lowest tier....

Just checking your math against Doug's channel. 'Sidney Powell in exile' was a week ago, and 2 weeks into him hitting the algorythm and riding it like a beast. That $107K is from TWO WEEKS of videos, and before he started getting a million plus view videos.

Doug is probably making a quarter million dollars a month right now. We'll see if it lasts past inauguration, but DAMN! lulz

I think he's just enjoying the attention. I watched him when he struggled to get 1k views in a video over the course of a month and that was just a month ago and now he's getting several hundred thousands views in like a day.

I've never watched one of his videos. From what I've seen when he joins other streams I have watched he comes off as just another insufferable jackass who got incredibly lucky and let it go to his head. He's a gifted artist for sure, but so are a zillion of others whose names we've never even heard of. Right place, right time and all that.

Zero patience for grifters who lack self-awareness. At least Frog is self-aware.

@FROG's channel has been great the last few months, and I love his very accurate latest video about DC living of Geoff Johns perpetually. None of these new guys have talent. I'm also glad someone's talking stuff that matters in culture/comics and not just regurgitating boring Fox News-lite but less professional that I would never watch.

Politics can be hot for boomer viewers but Ethan's channel's been fire lately.
