General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Aloe is never coming back and that's fine. Her situation is fucked up but a lot better than kids with abusive parents who don't have connections to genuinely kind people and she has a lot of things going for her like her singing talent, personality and opportunity to reenter the entertainment world if she wishes.

Young people drop out of school, quit their jobs and miss opportunities all the time. Not being able to take advantage of an opportunity doesn't make someone a quitter if you still continue to do your reps after and recover like Deluta has been doing. Calling someone a quitter because they have depression and don't want to entertain you anymore is entitled. It's not like she's Spoony.

Also, one last thing to add from before - just because you have a 'support system' like fans, or friends (gen-mates), doesn't mean your problems go away. Even the best of friends can't always save you from yourself. I personally know people who have hurt or even killed themselves even though they had a close support system and many people that loved them. That's great, but ultimately the true battle is within. For example, Polka, who posts updates for her YT channel members, talks about being depressed and exhausted at least once or twice a week, as she still has lingering paranoia and extreme fear of failure/being disliked due to her earlier career(s), and God knows what else. Yet, she has a 'support system,' no? As I said, it doesn't always help. Polka's just an example, Aloe was/is much worse off than she is, too.

Ultimately she weighed the choice and chose to leave, and I believe the quote from the letter was that she felt she wasn't mentally able to continue on with the career, and I think that's absolutely true, and even if it wouldn't have been at the time, eventually she would have cracked and bowed out at a later date. The pressure and pace of the lifestyle would have gobbled her up, harassment/doxing or not.

Did she "kneecap" herself? Maybe, but that remains to be seen. She's doing quite well now, and has bigger plans for the future. Sure, she's said over the past few months that she wants to stay indie, but maybe she'd change her mind someday soon after she moves and can clear her mind away from her parents' toxicity.

Except I very much understand Delta and her mindset. I've lived it, I've had friends lived it. I watched the smartest guy I knew in HS kill himself when he had like 4-6 years of college paid for in scholarships, because couldn't handle the pressure. I didn't say a support system magically helps, I said she had it. I know about Polka, it's sad, I try to watch her when I can to support her. not even blaming her at all, I've been pretty understanding. My meanest comments was that she herself holds her back from Hololive and that is a choice and she's making it. I also told Aloe fans to ditch her if they want Aloe back. I do think her fanbox will eventually dry up and that's what I hate for her, is that I doubt she's got a very sustainable future and the future she does have, doesn't look good outside of what she does have now. Hopefully that changes.

I'm whatever on the topic tho, it goes no where but a circle and the only real path out of that circle is what Delta wants to do.

If you're actually frustrated because some person you never met before doesn't have the mental fortitude to do everything in their life optimally, you are too invested.

Right, if someone just wants to be entertained specifically by Aloe again or wants to get a Japanese girlfriend prize for solving the mystery of the saddest girl, she is much better off with them fucked off. Mister O is right about a Hololive career being way to much for her now, but her current gig is also keeping plenty of fair-weather fucks at arm's length. Imagine if she was still in HL and breathed a whisper about her family situation: there'd be a deluge of assholes claiming she was trying to play it up for pity, but also a ton of knuckleheads giving her the worst advice wrapped up in red superchats.

Hope dies last. Despite the good points about Delta staying in Hololive is a detriment towards herself, I can never let go of the idea that maybe in future she will come back as Aloe, like Mister O. said if she changes her mind in future once she is in better shape, away from her parents.

That said, I won't cry and actively seeking her to come back everyday. I already went pass that phase when she was in lockdown mode. Plus, I'm a Holofan and my priority will always be Holo streams so I don't really have the time to follow indie streams. It also helps Holo has schedule stream page or Holotools or even Holodex which are life-savers for simping needs. In a way, I have move on from Aloe but not completely given up on her.

for as annoying as the posts were it's even worse when nene was singing happy synthesizer in her karaoke I haven't heard her sing it since before I don't usually watch live streams as much and I don't hate Nene for singing it at all that's fine but just hate how autistic the anons responded to that and the thread just becomes the same "aloe..." posts or when coco does her meme review and she shows a meme that slightly has aloe in it both the chat and the thread goes to hell with nothing but aloe. But I got over it with those posters somewhat and I find it funny when some anons hijacked the posts with something else like these:

Edit in Response to @Diya: as I said the three memes at the bottom of the account were a bit bais as they were tier list memes why Kanata why... where two of them had Kanata as the best or Coco for one of them. Another reason is that Kanata was known to be in other holos chat by using a different account so it would make sense why she would have two accounts: one to shitpost and the other for stream announcements. Then the bio had it where it had Botan as a favorite and both of them talk before to eachother.

Humm, so all in all its circumstantial and unconfirmed. Still good to know to keep to keep track of. On the topic, fans are specualting that /u/Kyou_mo_kawaii is Suisei purely because of the timing of account creation and style of post.

Don't know if it was mentioned, since it's late as fuck news, but AZKi's 2nd outfit's artist passed away, all the way back in June apparently but it only got revealed yesterday due to an investigation.
Here's the statement by his parents posted to his twitter and a translation

Holy shit, now I see why he's 1st in Kill/Dmg in last Vtuber tournament.

Speaking of Apex Predator rank, in 100 kills practice stream, recently Astel was killed by Apex Pred player(#41 in said rank) and then he watched from the Pred's POV as they went to win said round.

I'm surprised that Onion isn't joining the tourney but I guess she's not good at teamplay and prefers to do solo Diamond challenge.

Yeah the general skill level of this tourney is lower than CRcup and the teams are more mixed, but I have a feeling that the Gorilla might take home the cup this time around.
