I dont get why tess doesnt send Bowie to live with her Mum. She's got no interest at all in being a decent parent, she takes drugs at home, keeps them in the apartment and has a relative stranger sleeping in her child's room. It's really, really shitty of her to do that to Bowie.

Tess would love nothing more than to offload Bowie on someone. That is the root of so much of her constant whining: she has to take care of him and can’t offload him onto Jolene like she used to. Tess has no friends and her family may have told her no. That’s probably what her Thanksgiving trip was about like we predicted. Hard to have a nice apartment, a seemingly unlimited food and weed budget and then plead that you can’t take care of your son though. In a perfect world to Tubby Tess, Nick would take Bowie back with him but still has his Instagram account active so she can take credit for anything he does without actually having to be there.

Rylee is at the age where kids will mercilessly mock him. He can laugh along or not but I have little doubt that he is being given endless shit about it from everyone. Tess is such an easy target to make fun of that it’s likely for the best that someone else is taking care of him. I’m sure it has impacted his self esteem and development to a significant degree. He likely needs serious therapy if he isn’t getting it already. Seems like his plan was to just bury his head in academics, party to distance himself from his embarrassing trashy mother. It’s probably better this way. Maybe he can go to a good university across the country and change his name.
