Jesus, imagine being so autistic as to spend five whole hours talking about a single film reviewer.

Maybe not quite Jenny Nicholsongate 2.0, but still autistic.

Except Jenny Nichols was kindof funny. She was an e-thot.

This was cringe as fuck. They had the retard neck beard arguing sam rami Spiderman isn't good. I think they tried to defend Poe attacking a dreadnaught. Again. One of their favorite exercises.

It's TLJ. No he shouldn't have attacked the dreadnaught. The whole universe is a nonsensical mess. That's the problem in the weeds. You just get all tangled up in them.

More from Twitter.
Continued slights at HighTop through a clip of what I assume is the last EFAP. (Which I didn't watch.)
Also, whoever kept making fun of Drinker for being a fake drunk, he's a tweet for you.

Drinker is actually a published novelist.

I don't give much of a fuck for any of these people outside the lols. But c'mon now. This Cal person needs to at least try a little.

Did they talk about the Batwoman season 2 trailer on a recent EFAP, it seems weird that aside from a tweet or two they haven't touched on the show that's their bread and butter this close to the season premiere. Unless they release a trailer reaction on the day of the premiere it seems they've been weirdly quite about the show as of late.

He hasn't been quiet about the show. His most recent tweet was about it, I just didn't post some of his tweets because they weren't really important. He probably will do a reaction of the teaser trailer soon. He did so for the first season's as well.

EDIT:
More of the Spider-man saga. I doubt Callum has ever seriously tried to exercise, let alone been in a fight. Him trying to make a meme out of it makes him seem even more pathetic.

Another Pre-recorded EFAP? Seems to be mostly filler judging by the word salad title, so I'll give it a miss.

Why are these idiots arguing about the realism of a fucking Sam Raimi movie?
Here's an example of why this is dumb:
In this scene from Evil dead 2, Ash gets pushed with a lot of force and speed into a tree, his spine should be broken.
Movie ruined, amirite?
No, because realism isn't the point of the movie.
Realism isn't the point of any Sam Raimi movie, he doesn't care about that stuff, never did and probably never will.

Notice that Doc's sunglasses in SM2 stay on his face undamaged during the entire movie, that should be a giveaway.

Even if I was as pedantic as MauLer and his lackeys, we can assume that the arms enhanced his abilities without having it explained to us.
They're unable to fill in the blanks, they have to be told everything.
We don't need a 10 minute exposition scene where they go into detail about what the arms are doing to him and why.
Robot arms gave him powers, he's a supervillain now, makes sense in this universe, that's it.
No need for autistic overanalyzing.

I'm more honestly concerned as to why they are still talking about Spider-man 2, a 17-year-old movie. Most would have moved on by now.

As for why they are arguing about this. MauLer expects all movies to be highly realistic, or 'consistent in their own world' as he would probably say it. His autistic mind can't wrap around the idea that a movie's narrative isn't entirely grounded in realism and entirely consistent. He never cares at all about style or filmmaking if it requires a suspense of disbelief to enjoy. He just has a certain taste in movies that he believes is the objective standard and that everyone else should have his taste in movies or else they are stupid. He'll never acknowledge that he just has a certain preference of movie and that some people have different tastes than him.
MauLer really likes action movies with a story-driven narrative. Why? Because they have broad appeal and are easy to understand and analyze. And MauLer's tastes are as pedestrian as they get. That's all it is, in the end.

Maybe it's just me but, as an artist myself, I find his views on art very reductive.
Art isn't science, it doesn't have to follow logic or reason, that's the wonderful thing about it.
It's a free form of self expression, you can do anything and, as long as it connects with people, you have succeeded.
Looking at the history of art, there are entire movements that dismissed logic and consistency completely in order to pursue other things.
To MauLer, all of that is bad art, it has to be.
David Lynch, Terrence Malick, Alejandro Jodorovsky, Ingmar Bergman, all of them are horrible filmmakers because their movies often don't follow any rules.
If he gave a shit about other artforms, he would probably consider Picasso worst painter of all time because of his weird ass style.

Metaphorically speaking, MauLer wants to eat hamburgers and hamburgers only.
If someone offers him the best dumplings in the word, he will say that it's a bad hamburger.
When others will try to explain that it's a different kind of food, MauLer will post a meme of Ronald McDonald laughing at them and then Rags will call them virgins.

Another problem to add to that is that MauLer, as far as I know, has never even attempted to watch or talk about those types of movies. I'm certain at least one superchat has suggested it to them.
I hope that at one point in the future they may do an EFAP Movie on one. The EFAP crew may deride it as bad. However, I think it would be more likely that they would stumble over themselves trying to actually talk about it in the framework they usually do or fail at actually having anything useful or funny to say. You can't just riff on an experimental film like in the minis, or go through it plot point by plot point like the mainline reviews.

Ok, so ... Sam Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies are my personal favorite "blockbuster movies" ever. I love them to pieces.

That said, if you don't like them, then that's cool. However, when one of your points made against the movie is "hurr durr muh realism" when discussing a Sam Raimi movie, then guess what? You are not the intellect. Just say you don't like Sam Raimi's style (which is a fair enough statement to make, by the way), and then move the hell on.

MauLer, at first, came across as a fairly reasonable armchair movie critic who brought up some decent points about the media he was consuming, which is fine. I thought his Black Panther review was a breath of fresh air, considering everyone else was up that movie's ass when it obviously had a lot of writing issues. Well, obviously the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy gave him some sort of inflated ego, and now he makes 17-hour livestreams bitching about everything.

Btw, there is no doubt in my mind that MauLer is borderline deathfat. There is no fucking way that he is a remotely fit person. With absurdly long livestreams like his, you all know he lives a sedentary lifestyle and that he eats nothing but frozen dinners.

They have started the habit of getting angry when anyone uses 'comic book logic' as an excuse too. I've said it before, but I highly doubt the EFAP crew, especially the main hosts have bothered to even touch American comic books, except maybe a few that basically everyone have read at some point, like the Dark Knight Returns.

The Spider-man saga continues. These are all responses to criticism of his punch speed is more important that centrifugal force comment. Surprisingly all relevant to our earlier conversation. Does this man realize how much of a smug loser he sounds like in these responses? He isn't nearly as clever and funny as he thinks he is. I can't wait until Batwoman starts so he'll shut up about Spider-man 2. I'd thought he'd moved on after WW84.

Edit: New Tweet response in the form of EFAP Movie clips.

Ironic that he showed a video with Wolf as part of that response.

Edit: He did it again.
Doesn't he realize that he is doing the nitpicking he claims everyone is wrong in accusing him to doing? He is responding to nobodies on twitter after he got backlash for an argument about the physics of a punch in a movie that came out nearly two decades ago.

I also should note that in those EFAP clips he showed, the enjoyment is entirely ironic. He's not enjoying the movie, he's making fun of it. It's not enriching in the slightest. He completely missed those two people's point. When MauLer is truly enjoying something, I am certain he would be completely quiet and not making dumb quips and forced laughter.

These kind of arguments only make him look dumber. He checks all of the boxes of being a pseudointellectual. Like, I can hear the fedora being tipped in those tweets.

He's literally trying to apply superhero powers to how the real world works. I mean, that would be fine if he just admitted that he hates capeshit altogether because he prefers realism, but come on.

I've seen people take down the Raimi Spider-Man movies because they don't care for that interpretation of the character, which is fair enough. I vehemently disagree with those critiques, don't get me wrong, but at least they are coming from a place that makes some sort of sense.

The only "superhero logic" that should be paid attention to are the consistencies/inconsistencies within the character's abilities. RedLetterMedia covered this with Wonder Woman 1984: That movie sucks and makes no sense not because Wonder Woman is super strong and can defy gravity; it sucks because she loses her powers off and on throughout the movie whenever the movie needs them to, which makes everything all the more confusing and convoluted.

Apparently being nitpicky like CinemaSins is all fine and dandy as long as you have a pretentious accent. Good to know!

"Infinity War" is one of his favourite films, so this isn't it.

Considering how much he has a hard-on for the MCU, it makes no sense he would bitch about realism in a capeshit movie when there are a lot of examples of that franchise playing lose with realism.

I honestly could see him completely turning on the Marvel movies in a few years (maybe even a few months if he is starved for content), just like he turned on the Raimi Spider-Man films. The only film series I don't think he will ever turn on are The Lord of the Rings and the Original Star Wars Trilogies as well as a few other things like Terminator and Alien, which are perfect and beyond reproach in his eyes. He'll definitely leech off of upcoming MCU films. Maybe he'll feel obligated to protect Infinity War because it is literally the only thing he's ever made a positive review (Unbridled Praise) on.

Yea considering he's turned on the Raimi films after a couple years, I won't be surprised if he ever turns on at least some MCU films to be a contrarian. As a side note, I noticed some sperg on their Discord talk about this thread a bit over there a little, I'd screencap and post it here but him and one other retard said they hoped it'd get saved here, so I won't give them the satisfaction. It was nothing worth noting anyways, but good to know their spergs are still watching us.

Your statement might summon them regardless. Though it might be fun to break up the echo chamber. We definitely have a bit of a one-sided hate narrative for MauLer and could use some opposition to our sentiments for once. As long as it is just one or two of them, that is. An army of idiots spouting terrible memes at us would be torture. It can't be nearly as bad as the last one that showed up, can it?

Infinity War is my favorite MCU movie, and one of my top 5 favorite capeshit movies altogether. I will even go as far as to say that I view it as the modern day Empire Strikes Back; that's how much I enjoy it.

That said, I've seen people nitpick it to death ... Much in the same way that MauLer does with other movies. So, you know, he's being incredibly inconsistent.

MauLer has become an even more autistic CinemaSins.
