Doing exactly what he did with that tweet was the next step of his master plan given that Kiara brushed him off.

The specific wording is what sticks out to me the most. "I didn't intend to disrupt in this way", basically meaning you still wanted to shill yourself anyway. Just not in the blatantly chat rule-breaking fashion.
