Like, I can understand wanting to thank someone you appreciate, but send a fan letter or something man. This just feels like attention seeking.

You know from a quick glance at the color of the page i almost thought the guy was about to give a heads up about the bugmen forums and provided screenshots but no, it's just the Watame superchat except 10x unnecessarily longer

Rereading the rrat scenarios, and damn. . . some made me rethink those I just passed on.

The whole Ao-Chan and ENMA identity rrats are, in my opinion, the best in the EN scene. I'm more curious about their lives than any of the EN girls; mostly because I have interest in the talent/corporate interaction. I know someone here mentioned the rrat that Ao-chan was a boyfriend or something similar. Gotta disagree on that one, if only because actual management would probably shut that shit down fast given the Towa thing. Mama'nis is a bit of a stretch though, but it might just be a relative. Some of the wording in pinned messages, etc. . . remind me of how I talk regarding my own siblings, so it could be Ane'nis or an older brother even if one exists off radar.

Coco as ENMA was something I heard about a bit ago, but some of the evidence presented is intriguing. Yet, I think Kiara or someone stated that there are different ENMA's for each of the girls. That said, might be Coco is a silent A-Chan for them; an overarching figure that manages the EN concept as a whole. Makes more sense that she shows up for a game or two (invited) / a fun art stream, but might not be the EN Manager for scenarios like Kiara's need of a streaming computer, the day-to-day questions, etc. . .

Edit: Read the last few posts on that dude in Calli's chat. I might be leaning attention whore at this point. You outed yourself and used what I can only describe as basic bitch 'I'm just being me' language on a /. You really only cared about the talent? Really? Weren't looking for any notoriety or recognition? Sure champ.

I think it is actually a much better option - you can send letters to talents through agency. Writing an actual letter, putting it into envelope and sending it to Japan requires more dedication and is much more rare than sending superchats/tweets/spamming links and there is a bigger chance that the talent will actually bother to read it. Not to mention that your sperging will be read only by someone in agency and maybe the talent him/herself and not ridiculed on an internet forum.
Some general, if not just vocal, number of Deadbeats genuinely do not understand the concept of a parasocial relationship and I am becoming increasingly convinced this is the case the more I lurk.

Got a couple of more anecdotes about this from the pre-chat Discord by way of them trying to organize some kind of "group" message to send to Calli while identifying every member in the server, I guess to show her how she's bringing people together? Seemed like a cool idea at first, but it's starting to feel more and more spergy over time.

Then there's the fact that Calli recently approached Clero to request to use his art once again for a thumbnail this time (just as a reminder, he's the same guy responsible for the temporary Adam Sandler emote she used), and, well... A lot of the replies you see hyping it up come from the server's members. The server owner especially can't seem to help but figuratively cum all over himself because of this. And if anybody remembers the SCs from last month, the owner is the same person who told Calli that he "helped make Cyberpunk 2077" when, in reality, all he did was playtest the game. Dude had a damn near crying fit in server VC over the fact that Cyberpunk WAS on her schedule until Sony shitcanned it from their store.

Wait, did Calli read part of that insane dudes letter on stream? Or did she just post about it somewhere?

Was about to post this. The guy came to the /jp/ Mori thread and got absolutely roasted
https://warosu.org/jp/thread/32338259#p32348907 (thread is still alive as of posting this)

When even the chans think you are a lost cause is time to reconsider your life or blowjob a shotgun

Wait, did Calli read part of that insane dudes letter on stream? Or did she just post about it somewhere?

No he actually left the Imgur and pastebin links in his red superchat for anyone to read

Edit: Ok she did. I waited to read all that shit from chan after I finished catching up on the thread. Wow that’s gotta be super awkward if I was in Calli’s shoes in front of thousands of people

You guy think the western vtubers are bad, imagine how tiring it is trying to be one and being surrounded by them. Everyone wants to be like nyannerz and ironmouse and just make constant sex or poop/piss jokes. There's so many positive "you can be a vtuber even if" posts and soon enough it's gonna be "you can be a vtuber even if you don't have an avatar or stream at all uwu", hell I've had "debut tba" twitter users "welcoming" me to the community like "dude, I've been here longer than you and you don't even stream" not to mention all the idiots that show their faces. There's basically two rules to being a vtuber 1. have an avatar 2. don't show your face, not sure how you fuck that up. There's not really any point to this rant I just don't really have anywhere else to say it.
This kind of openness and relaxing of the bars to entry is exactly the same prelude to cult behavior. Soon after the "anyone can be a vtuber, it doesn't matter how unprepared, uncharismatic, or unproductive you are :3" comes the "vtubers all respect [whatever] and hate [whatever] and if you don't then you're not one of us" purges, and then the purity testing and twitter struggle sessions and the personality worship. Just like furries, trannies, weebs, magas, comics fans, what have you: losers can turn anything into a little cult.

I've heard some hornyposters downloaded this video for whatever reasons, truly disgusting.
Sorry to necro topic from 10 pages ago, but i think this is the original.

Been here since shortly after HoloEN debuted, whenever that was, and have been lurking for a while. Was going to make an account to comment about the above video, but then murica things happened and null closed registration for a while
