We definitely have a bit of a one-sided hate narrative for MauLer and could use some opposition to our sentiments for once. As long as it is just one or two of them, that is. An army of idiots spouting terrible memes at us would be torture. It can't be nearly as bad as the last one that showed up, can it?

Yes, it would be interesting to have one or two of them here to argue against us, but as far as I can see right now, it seems they'd rather spout their usual Mauler cult like memes on the Discord server and take pot shots from there, rather then confront us directly (A lot of them seem rather uneducated about KF in general, I seen one person say Null is 20 years old and is only co-owner of some sorts of KF (lol), another thought KF was a person and not a website, etc.) If another fan gets on here it'd be neat to speak to them as long as it doesn't degrade into them reverting to the usual Mauler/EFAP memes/excuses. If a bunch join I'd imagine a moderator would just thread ban them after they make fools of themselves. As for right now I'll only screencap any interesting things Mauler/one of the EFAP orbiters have said from the Discord server.

He went through the entire movie on both an incredibly long EFAP stream, and in an EFAP Movie. These were both basically reaction videos with no writing. He hasn't made an Unbridled Rage or proper review yet.
He might bother to make an Unbridled Rage on it, and I am certain he will spend a quarter of it attacking HiTop. He might even consider the EFAP he made to be as good as an Unbridled and not even bother with it. He never made an Unbridled Rage on Mulan, after all.
The last Unbridled he made was on TRoS, which was quite a while after the movie came out (17 days) and significantly longer than he previous ones (2 hours), so he might be spending a while perfecting, (i.e. slacking on and/or bloating) his review before he makes one on WW84. The time in between will probably be what you said: picking fights with people over SM2 and WW84.

MauLer showers praise on a new piece of media. This reminds me of how he treated Bly Manor when he watched it. Have any of you watched this? I also may sound like a broken record, but I'd bet good money that MauLer hasn't even read Lovecraft, and if he has, he's only read the 2 or 3 famous ones everyone reads.

They have started the habit of getting angry when anyone uses 'comic book logic' as an excuse too. I've said it before, but I highly doubt the EFAP crew, especially the main hosts have bothered to even touch American comic books, except maybe a few that basically everyone have read at some point, like the Dark Knight Returns.

But the watch movies and selectively buy into comic book logic when convenient.

Don't forget, they are huge simps for select Marvel movies. They loved Civil War.

That's the main difference I see between EFAP and RLM, the latter has a least seen a lot of older non-mainstream movies, whereas the former's tastes seem to be very mainstream in what they cover and talk about. Put another way, I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Mike and Jay have seen The Feebles or The Frighteners, and I woudln't be shocked if Mauler and Rags haven't seen them.

Not even that. We've come to EXPECT them to be complete ignorami on subjects that aren't videogames and the most basic of movies. That's how low our confidence in their experience is. You'd think they'd have developed a passion for film or do basic preliminary research or reading about subjects considering it's their livelihood, but almost all they care about are franchises made by big studios.

I think you're right, he has fell into the trap of thinking his livestreams are substitutes for his regular content. Ditto for Rags.

To be fair, he has been starved for bad big blockbusters movies to make new reviews on lately due to to the shutdowns pushing cinema back. It really has only been WW84 and Mulan since TRoS. But that's just emblematic of his narrow range of movies and the fact he seems to have completely forgotten about his GoT reviews. Remember those? He still hasn't finished them. They are Unbridled Rages. They shouldn't have taken this long. The only explanation is that he has completely lost interest or has outright forgotten about them. He rarely even mentions GoT in general these days.

Martin being as lazy and having a writing style as bloated as MauLer didn't help matters either. I was a fan of the books too. Their stagnation ad infinitum hurt me more than the TV show, which I never even watched. Another example of MauLer taking so long on his videos their subject matter becomes irrelevant as he writes them. TFA is just the most drastic example.

Looking at a singular moment and acting like that's representative of the entire piece is textbox pedantic. In fact, if you google the definition it's example describes Mauler's flaws perfectly:
"many of the essays are long, dense, and too pedantic to hold great appeal"
The reason why CinemaSins, and Mauler as an extension, are universally seen as bad is because the problems listed have no weight individually and comes across as filler. If you have ever taken English classes in college and wrote an essay that was too wordy and focused entirely on the exact details of something, your English teacher is always going to tell you to remove that shit and stay focused. They won't praise you or give you extra-credit for being pedantic, they will fail you.

A few minor tweets. I dearly hope that he Batwoman videos will be enjoyable too. I'm still surprised that he and Elvis The Alien are friends on Twitter. I've seen Elvis respond to a few of MauLer's tweets. I've watched several of his videos and he seems the type that wouldn't associate with MauLer. He mostly makes dumb reviews of dumb movies as well and his audience seems younger and more mainstream, and comes off as a nice person. It should be noted that he's never been on EFAP. Probably because he makes decent content on a regular basis and seems to actually have a life. Is there something about him I don't know?

He is probably referring to it being hilariously nonsensical, disrespectful to the comics, and ridiculous just like last season. Let's hope he's not overselling it. I really don't want them to continue forcing laughter and nitpicking like with the Mandalorian Season 2.

He's still using this excuse? At least sincerely apologize for causing a misunderstanding. He might have done so but don't really remember and it feels out of character for him to backtrack on his statements. He had to know calling Tran's character 'Shrek' in his reviews could be easily seen as a direct insult to her appearance, bad costume design or no. It was definitely a Freudian slip if it was unintentional, which I am still uncertain it was.
