The great mystery of Haachama. Tokino Sora has a similar intimidating reputation but that one can be explained, Haachama on the other hand not really. She must have built quite a reputation before her descent, but it's hard to grasp how. She was never as famous as Fubuki or Miko, and not as experienced as Sora or Suisei. In terms of singing, dancing or any of the other "idol" things, she is definitely good, but not head and shoulders above the others like that reputation would imply.

My best guess is that she's either a completely different person IRL, or it's something intangible that I can't grasp. Maybe she somehow appeals to women?

Ina just said they have permission to play Hollow Knight, really looking forward to that. I tried to get into Calli's Blasphemous streams but that game just wasn't doing it for me.

I dont want to be a backseater and a elitist but her stream of Blasphemous is meh because she doesnt have any experience in Metroidvanias and just fumble into bosses by inertia, im still surprised she managed to reach the mother of all churches by her own

Pretty sure Symphony of the Night is one of her favorite games, at least on paper.

It just doesn't really show at all since she's really bad at almost every game she plays.

Symphony of the night is very lenient regarding difficulty, you can cheese all the bosses as long as you explore and grind enough exp, Blasphemous dont have a EXP system or any other weapons beside the prayers and your sword, even the rosary beads dont outright tell you what they do, SOTN also drowned you with special skills and items things that Blasphemous doesnt give you

Edit: also both have secrets endings that the game doesnt tell you how to get

Edit instead of making another post: Fakku went on a twitch stream with an indie named Laprio. Twitter bio says female but sounds like another troon. Fakku has quite a bit of an accent and it sounded like he was about to cry at one point. He says he just wanted it to go away. Reminder that he had already deleted his twitter and made a new one so all he had to do was just not talk about it anymore and no one would have known it was him. He's also butthurt that he's in another video

And considering how it easy it is to do game-breaking glitches like keeping your equipment in recent ports like Requiem, all you really have to do is find Shield Rod and the game is pretty much done by that point.

I mean, even with that, it can still be difficult in that you die in one-two hits depending on which point of the game you're at, and if you're relying on certain game tech like continuous Wing Smashes in those same areas. Or if you're just straight up playing Richter mode.

Agreed. Part of what helps too is her rapid fire streaming style, she never seems to lack for something to say as soon as she's live which helps a lot in generating humorous off the cuff, meme-able remarks/actions (at least outside of "a", that was guaranteed deliberate). The stuff which blows up hardest is always the most unintentional.

Also as an aside I think this is where a lot of the recent short clip "shitposts" from many of the girls are originating from. Besides testing viewership numbers, it's seeing what sticks for people (like Haachama going all in on cooking) or what they could try emphasizing differently. Except for Coco's and Kanata's dance features, the green screen in them almost certainly exists purely to fuel wannabe meme maker imaginations.

Yeah back when Vice was still new on YouTube they've put out some great documentaries (North Korea series), and also up until recently their Ukraine coverage was great. How low the mighty have fallen.

If it were due to some superficial reason, like da meemz or whatever, her numbers likely would have tapered off into the EN averages. Instead, she's still growing at a rate of 10k a day (sometimes even more, like 20k), her videos still average around 500k views (with the lowest one having 250k), and last night nearly 30k people were watching her live.

She's successful because people genuinely like her and her content.
