I'm actually in the KFP discord, joined on a whim. Folks in general seem really supportive of Kiara, and I remember there being several fanprojects like a big collage of fanart, as well as a group VC karaoke for Kiara's song debut. The general mood seems to be to go along with the "KFP is a legitmet business" and going along with Kiara's weirdness and thirst habits, as well as cheering for her during big occasions. I've only really lurked there, so I don't really know any dirt or drama that happened on it.

I’ve been lurking this thread since the beginning, and at this point I’m having more fun watching @MemeGrey rock the boat than reading what little content is posted (clips of your waifu don’t count). This is no longer a KF thread, it’s a reddit refugee camp.

edit: also @The One And Only SALTE has sperged about how they hate the en vtuber scene so repetitively it may as well be a copypasta.

I could talk about the indies I follow whose content I genuinely enjoy (because there are honestly a lot of them) but I'd rather not throw names out there; if people honestly want some recommendations they can ask me in private. Being involved in the indie scene also just lets me see some of the trends that pop up within it so excuse me if I have to vent sometimes about how stupid it looks to me and spare you the details of going on Twitter and looking at the trends these people are chasing.

It's also just because Hololive is so fucking popular at this point it's basically the Coca Cola of Vtubers. Vshojo has 7 talents to their name (6 because I don't think Gigguk's wife has actually fucking done anything) and they're all still regarded as individuals, and we don't really talk much about them other than shitting on Mel for playing up her character as borderline retarded or Zen for whatever bullshit he's fucking done on that particular day. Nijisanji is so fucking spread out that it's difficult to keep tabs on a lot of them and they're hardly ever clipped so unless we have some Japanese speakers here it's difficult to talk about them at all. Then there's the prominent indie scene and...who do we have from there? Artemis shows up once in a while whenever he does something fucking stupid but other than that we don't really talk about anything other than hololive except in broad strokes because that's the only way we can talk about them. Someone mentions an indie here nobody's ever fucking heard of and they're basically forgotten about within 5 minutes.

Issue w/ Hyde is that like a week ago he quite literally made a tweet saying essentially "keep Forbidden Knowledge in the shadows and do yer reps," but when another member of his clique, Kani, does not do said reps, he 180's and says everyone is overrreacting. So, there ya have it, he's a dipshit.

Personally not a fan of her "horny" shenanigans but i do believe that she is one of the most talented individual and the one of the most bankable member in hololive.

Friend of mine is a pretty fucking huge Marine fan and watches quite literally every second of her streams, and he said during a couple member streams a month or so back that she's was talking about how she's more than a little bit tired of the whole "horny" gimmick but just keeps up the appearance for the fans and memes because she knows people love it. So she's mostly putting on an act with the whole thing, at least when she's talking about that stuff w/ chat. Obviously her creeping on the other girls is because she enjoys tormenting them, lol.

I was listening to Suisei's karaoke stream to reach the 700k subs benchmark, and she ended up singing something that caused me to do a double take; she sang Zenryoku Summer, better known as the OP to the Aho Girl anime adaptation.

The full version is one of the more entertaining songs out there, but like most seasonal anime this song (and the show itself) had been quickly forgotten for the next big thing. Being able to hear this again, and in Suisei's particular cadence, can only be described as delicious. I can only hope that more odd song choices end up being sung by the girls in the future. I've had quite enough of Demon Slayer.

Real reason is because most of the time I post from my phone and don't feel like screenshotting half a dozen tweets to prove a point and would rather just tell people what's going on so they don't have to see the shit for themselves. Most of the shit I see on Twitter is basically identical so it really doesn't matter who's saying it because there's like 100 people parroting the same fucking thing. That and I like to at least gauge others' opinion here to see if they have anything more nuanced to say about it.

As for why I don't talk about indies it's because I don't want them to get shit on by people here. I know most of you guys are cool enough to keep your opinions contained here and won't bother with harassing anyone but I like to err on the side of caution just in case someone does decide to go out of their way to shit on them directly. I actually like some of these people and don't want them to have to deal with that kind of bullshit.
