The bizarelly skewed morality in SU is the thing that cracks me up about it the most: if you capture a bunch of rebels, literally break them apart, necro-rape their still sentient body parts into a gargantuan screaming hivemind of gem-flesh and leave it to gestate and eventually crack the Earth like an egg and kill everything on it, its okay because your sister died and you were really upset about it. But if you persistently flirt with someone at a rave and make them uncomfortable? You're a complete scumbag and deserve all the hatred that you get.


Damn, as I was writing this, I realised that what Yellow Diamond did was something straight up from WH40K, but apparently none of the writers realised the significance and consequences of that, probably considering a fat child crying more interesting and worth of exploration. And not only the actions of galactic dictators weren't thought about, the creepiness of some of the fusions also probably flew over their heads too.

A one Chinese actor Xiao Zhan didn't like a one fanfic, when his character was portraying as trans prostitute, so his fans were sending this website to China goverment, so this worked a whole site ban, which many people disliked this
(ao3 was a one of spares sites, which goverment wasn't interested). And the Xiao Zhan was "cancelled" for this behavior and he apologized.

lol, on one hand China crushing a website for fanfiction. On the other China crushing a website for LGBT garbage. While I'm marginally on the side of AO3, it is a difficult thing for me. I wouldn't be too happy either about being portrayed as a school-slinking troon, so I get why Xiao Zhan wanted the fic gone.
