I swear this is the first time I've ever felt so shocked someone wasn't a troll. Like usually you can tell when someone is a troll vs genuine but this is a situation where I just cannot believe this is genuine. Like especially after that music video whatever that was. I figured this would probably be a good time to finally drop my two cents on what goes on in there, speaking from personal experience from when I briefly tried this out for some reason.
This isn't a Farms-exclusive thing. It pretty much applies to every person and place who has ever said a bad thing about waifus. Anyone who uses that Discord is led to believe that the server is some impenetrable, troll-proof place and that the only trolls come from r/waifuism itself. So of course, it's a circlejerk, the mods only become active to tell people not to talk about the Farms because leaving these people in the dark is probably for the best. Some of these people have done pretty retarded things when they found out about this place. If MattyMckenzie found out about this place she'd probably burn her house down to "teach the trolls a lesson".
These two kind of go into one. This might be the most obvious statement ever but these kind of people (Megumin guy was especially guilty of this in the brief time I knew him) are attention-seeking and cannot stop reminding people that they "love their waifu" as if that means anything. I don't know if they're that retarded or that committing to role-playing with the whole "Microsoft Sam stole my phone" thing but I'm willing to go for the former. There is a channel in the Discord dedicating to people saying that they love their waifu over and over which is quite possibly the finest example of an echo chamber there ever will be. You could get infinite entertainment out of screenshots of just that channel alone.
Honestly all of that is just another day in the r/waifuism Discord, can't wait for the inevitable meltdown the users who lurk this thread will have when they see more Discord screenshots again.

Travis is peak reatarded waifuist, they all love to think that if they see content on the internet they don't like they can whine and bitch and say "BUt i'M in A REAlatioNSHIp wiTH heR" and that everyone will take their fantasies seriously. The true mark of a waifuist is attacking 'selfish' artists for making work that they don't like.
For someone who claims to be "The Paladins Ultimate Weapon", he spends an awful lot of time shitting out crappy YouTube videos. Does he know that making a callout post that won't crack 200 views isn't going to be enough? Hurry the hell up and go to war against all art already.
