Fanmade Pokémon Designs (Fakemon) - Tracers, garbage designers, and of course, furries

At the request of @Lapis Lazuli I am x-posting some pages of a comic I posted in the Furry Art Freak Show thread so people here can laugh at the off-model characters..

Note: The comic itself is pretty NSFW, but it's difficult to find a page that clearly shows some of the designs without furfaggotry in it. Since this isn't the thread for that I have tried to find pages that show off the characters that are still safe for work (albeit with gore). There may be a rogue snatch or dick somewhere that I missed.

I always saw Breloom as made of mushrooms, so I never thought it would have fur, more of a squishy skin or something. Clearly the artist has never drawn anything other than dogs or cats, going by the same-face between species here.

day 2: I have the concept for the grass starters being active, to sleeping, to sleeping for so long that plants and mushrooms and trees grow on it. I have an idea of how the grass starters' final evolution will have long claws and fur-like in cartoons. I don't know about the other two right now though.View attachment 1802642
This kid had some guts posting here. NGL.

Half of these Pokémon have claws and elemental powers, why do they need shit like knives or swords to kill other Pokémon? I can understand for weaker Pokémon and humanoids, maybe some animalistic ones depending on how much makes sense.

I remember reading about someone's project. Basically, they're a group of people trying to make a Pokémon-themed DnD. These few stuck out to me the most:

I can get why something like this may work (even if it seems a bit convoluted for weapons to exist in the first place, but I suppose the "Rule of Cool" overpowers here), but a Zangoose killing other people with knives when it has it's claws, or a Magmortar wielding a gun despite having gun arms? That's retarded.

Combined with the same face syndrome and some Pokémon appearing more feral, it just seems the artist wants to draw just those types of Pokémon, but didn't want people questioning why the same 4 or 6 Pokémon pop up all the time, so he just draws them all similarly.

Yeah from what I can gather (the story is kinda all over the place) iron is fairly rare in this world and knives are treated like using guns against stone-throwing natives. Still dumb, but I just thought I'd give some context. Also, that Typhlosion is fucking metal.

I suppose that clears things up, but couldn't they at least have given a knife to something without sharp claws? Pretty sure it's more practical for Linoone to use claws, anyway.

As for the Typhlosion, I definitely think it's one of the best I've seen from the project, art wise. Btw, here it is if you're curious. http://dndpkmn.com/index.html

That breloom's honestly the worst offender of them all, is like it was draw out memories that don't exist.

The art actually does not seem so bad. Despite this, there i something off abou that Breloom and maybe that Pignite.
The story, however, feel shallow... taking the most common elements of every Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fan-story.

A better question is why is Linoone bipedal when it's clearly built like a quadriped.
To be fair, Linoone can stand upright.

Same applies to the Galarian counterpart.

It seems every Mystery Dungeon fan-story so far is either trying to be a dark, grimdark world or a retelling of the original story.

Of course, if those two types of stories don't tickle your fancy, we could delve into Wanderlust Guild, which... well...

I was abou to mention Galarian Linoone! I simply did not wan to double-post!

Being fair, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is actually darker than the main games, whic had plenty of Nightmare Fuel, themselves.

On that spoiler...
...no wonder that was called 'Wanderlust'. I agree wi that Flabébé...
...though I wan to check if she is made up of alcoholic cider. Get a Flamethrowe ready.
That was not innuendo. 'Sidra' is homophonous with "cidra", that is, 'cider' in Spanish. Cider can be alcoholic. Alcohol actually burns, despite being a liquid. Fire attacks are super-effective against Ice Pokémon.

"Shin Art" is a goldmine. He keeps designing things in such a way that looks like it came straight out of a bootleg.
Bitches be lookin' like digimons. Some just get bigger, while others just look overdesigned and almost change the original entirely, like Machamp. Some have suggested that a hypothetical mega for this Pokemon would be without the belt, considering how the dex loves to brag about how powerful Machamp could be if it ever had been taken off.
Some traced art, too. Pretty sure Weavile's was traced from its Pokken portrait, for example.
Admittedly, the Mega Wailord looks kinda cool. The markings feel rather pointless, though. Maybe have some clouds surround it instead, to empathize how Wailord's one of the biggest Pokemon out there?

Have you seem the video based on logos? That's where his "talent" really shines.

Some of the designs are relatively decent. Though the artist definitely has a bad habit of slapping gaudy markings where they aren't needed. The ones that are overdesigned really smack you in the face though.

Not going to lie, I can see some of these working as mascots for their respective companies, but as Pokémon? Not really. Sure, there's Pokémon based off of pop culture like how Tyranitar is based off of Godzilla, and some Pokémon like Hitmonlee and Snorlax are based off of real people (the latter being Kōji Nishino, one of Game Freak's game designers), but at least they're subtle and don't immediately remind you of the source material just by looking at them.
At least imbed the video for consistency's sake.
Oh boy, the waifufags at /vp/ will love this one.
