I'm not into Niji at all because to me they're all kinda meh, just stating my opinion. They don't jump out at me or grab my attention. Hololive's talents are way more varied and entertaining, despite being, what, less than half? "Quality over quantity*," and I just don't like what Niji offers.

I mean, and the fact that I have my plate full supporting all the Holos and the very small handful of indies I like anyway, I got no room for more chuubas, even if I wanted to, frankly.

Also, I'm pretty sure Ichikara only has a larger net worth due to Sony's rather chonky contribution via a fat investment of 1.9B JPY, which is about $17M or so. Cover also has plenty of collaborations and merch deals all over the place, as we see on their social medias.

Corporate sponsorship is all well and good but nothing beats captivating audiences the world over. Cover is definitely winning the healthy, competitive "war," so to speak.

I want to recommend Rion as well but I'm not a big fan of Genshin Impact, highly recommend her archive though.

I second that. Rion sama has entertaining personality and nice "personalities" but the game she played is just the worst.

In a sense. The way I see it, vtuber is like an one time big investment that gradually pay for itself over time and can only go up from there. You pay for the model and the streaming rig and that's it. In the case of tamaki, she streamed with a .png image most of the time from a bargain bin laptop so a high end rig is not even necessary.

Anyway, i should probably start watching more nijisanji too, especially the ID group. I've always wondered what sort of chaos differentiates them from Hololive. More Nijisanji discussion here would be good

Even in the early days where hololive 0th and 1st gen's model were still limited in facial animation, nijisanji live2d were already capable of the more subtle animation such as eyes movement or chest rising in rhythm with their breathing (I totally did not realize this thanks to staring at rion sama tits). You might argue that the quality of the models varies since there's so many of them, but they're no way inferior. Fumino Tamaki for example is a second wave member and still has to date one of the highest quality model ever.

I dunno about the 3d stuff, but I checked out the livers you mentioned and their models are very impressive and at least on the level of Hololive if not better. My memory is from when I was checking out a Nijisanji EN collab stream several months back when I was wondering what a Hololive EN might be like and remember not being very impressed at all with the models and the expressions. Maybe it's an individual performance thing instead of tech or certain livers get better models, I dunno.

lol looks like Silvervale is getting mad at the prospect of viewers suggesting she plays with the other vshojo players. While on one hand I get that it probably is frustrating when people try to tell you how to stream, at the same time these are literally the people paying her way forward. It turned out hilariously though because ironmouse ended up meeting a bunch of streamers who are much more known than vshojo crew lol she was hanging out with/meeting sykkuno, Cr1tikal, videogamedunkey, jacksepticeye and fuslie in that one night.

Silvervale runs the Vshojo Free Company over on Cactuar so really all she has to do is get Ironmouse and Zentreya together and they can all be cancerous ethots together on a stream. It's not that hard to get some group content going. No offense intended to Ironmouse provided she's as decent as most of you claim.

Why yes there is a reason

Nijisanji isn't known outside of fucking Japan, of course they get less superchats, most of the Holo whales are western weebs with too much free time, plus Hololive not only is an actual idol agency, but it's fucking colossal outside of Japan, of course their songs are more highly regarded

Just to clarify, may have said it before idk my memory is bad, I like Hololive more than Niji, or well I watch them way more, I just took the opportunity to see if I could clear up so many damn misconceptions that seem to have become accepted from what I read pretty much like 100 pages back

Nijisanji isn't quantity over quality, if you think it is then Hololive also is quantity over quality since they have pretty much the same recruitment requirements, with perhaps the main difference that Holos need to be able to sing a bit? The only vtuber agencies that would be quality over quantity would be the relatively unknown ones that have like 5 massively talented vtubers under them, like say HoneyStrap. I mean Holo has 43 fucking talents on it's main branch if we include the stars, "Nijisanji has more" doesnt mean shit when considering Nijisanji has more resources and Japanese chicks and bois (probably failed internet personalities) eager to audition for them and then they put a lot of fucking work into their characters, rigging and eventual outfits that a majority seem to have.

You can not watch Nijisanji for any reason you feel like naming, who cares, it's your time, but why say random bullshit about them

Call me a sore loser if you like but I'd say nijisanji can make hololive number if they wanted to. Mito, arguably the most prominent nijisanji liver doesn't even have membership enable in her channel, and disable superchat most of the time, as with a lot of nijisanji liver stream. Some might even say that it the reason ichikara didn't get into legal trouble and have to purge most of their talent archive a while back. Also some revealed that their twitcast earning surpassed their superchat so there's also that.

The majority of nijisanji income came from their merch sponsor stream probably. This is just my conjecture with no concrete evidence mind you. They abandoned BOOTH and have their own merch service. Some even turn off superchat completely to encourage people to buy voice pack. As for sponsor stream, chaika revealed that the fee go on as high as 5k usd per stream, and they have a lot of them.

Boring, uninteresting troon who has absolutely no talent has a vtuber, potentially copied Gura's gimmick of being a shark given that the avatar reveal didn't happen until shortly after Gura premiered and became popular so fast, and would be pretty unremarkable otherwise provided he didn't have a whole ass hype squad well before even pre-debut and constantly tries ways to shill himself through optics. Basically makes his presence known through a variety of means, not the least of which involves dropping red superchats for visibility in the high profile Hololive EN/JP streamers.

Others have posted other reasons, but I would also add that most of the stuff talked about (REALLY high quality rig, tons of advertisements/word of mouth) point towards a trust fund kid who bought a bunch of influence/follows via throwing money around and being an alphabet person with SonicFox levels of "I'M GAY" posting, while having a personality of wet cardboard and generally being an attention whore.

High-end computers are affordable for the middle-upper class, Indonesians are not that poor. But, what is scary is that you could accuse someone of defamation by posting some stuff online and with the right lawyer you could send them into jail for like years.

Here's what I could find about Reine. I joined a smaller Discord server and there's some Indonesians digging Reine's past. They found out that she is extremely toxic, constantly swearing while playing games and etc. This means that what @Rezza said regarding her connections to toxic Indonesian elitist weebs is true. Below is a picture of her. Sadly, I couldn't find more stuff about her because the people in the server are getting scared and they nuked the channel. I wonder which conglomerate is her parents.
