I have a feeling his girlfriend is getting dick from a real man who is not built like a college student who eats ramen noodles everyday.

FTFY. It needed pluralization to properly convey the reality.I have a feeling his girlfriend is getting dick from a number of real men who are not built like a college student who eats ramen noodles everyday.
Dunno, it's still up for now.
I also forgot he made fun of MovieBob for going ballistic after the result of the 2016 election and called him out for "divisive" rhetoric. It was a funny video, if only because Bob is ridiculously low-hanging fruit, but it's another one that's even more hilarious to watch now given Razorfist's current behaviour.
By way of some more general observations about Dan since I'm new to this thread, he's the ultimate boomercon chud. Acts like an obnoxious teenager, thinks being a basic bitch conservative makes him the smartest person in the room, REEEEEs about "politicising" media but is actually perfectly happy with politicised media as long as it reflects his politics, falls over himself to lick the boots of based women/minorities (the opening to his wanky as fuck review series on DS9 was a particularly nauseating example of this and just cements my view that while DS9 is a great show it has one of the worst fanbases in history), jumps on conspiracy theories to own the libs, whines about "divisiveness" (which is the right wing version of problematic) and props up people like Stefan Molyneux and Vox Day while being outraged that anyone could think he was a racist or sexist as a result. Every box is ticked.
This side of YouTube can't die off fast enough. It's so embarrassing now.
I really don't get why he feels the need to be contrarian to the Souls series of all things, it at least restored difficulty and good world design to gaming.
I stopped caring about Razor's opinions on video games back when he sucked off Omikron as some forgotten masterpiece that was wrongfully disregarded. Another more recent take of his was that Greedfall was a better game than Witcher 3, so if nothing else he's consistently bad with his takes.I really don't get why he feels the need to be contrarian to the Souls series of all things, it at least restored difficulty and good world design to gaming.
Also he did a the N-th iteration of the "all games today are 3rd person action RPGs".
I'm guessing either he needs to git gud or he doesn't like games that build tension and desires constant arcadey action. I'm not too well versed in his gaming tastes though.Pretty much all the stuff From Software has release has been pretty deece. Did he die one too many times against the Gargoyles in DS1 and decide to write it off as shit?

That's only true if you pretend shit like Assassin's Creed was the only thing in existence before Dark Souls came along.I really don't get why he feels the need to be contrarian to the Souls series of all things, it at least restored difficulty and good world design to gaming.

It might be due to being a long time ago, but I feel like back in 2010's there was over reliance on quest markers, and game areas felt more like a mishmash of setpieces rather than an actual location. Difficulty wise, I can definitely say the vast majority of games were way too easy back then (at least most western releases).I actually kind of agree with Razor that way too many games started copying the Souls-like formula, even when it's clearly an awful choice for the type of game that is being developed (Jedi: Fallen Order for example) but a lot of his arguments do boil down to sour grapes.

Kinda yes and no, if you know what you are doing then a lot of areas and bosses become far easier. But most players (especially starting players) won't know about different weapon types, magic and defensive mindset in the battle mechanics of Souls games. Anyways, melee always has a difficulty in it because you need to memorize enemies move list.I’ve actually argued for a long time that the souls games are not difficult. Depending on how you approach the combat, they can be extremely easy and most enemies are killed with a quick combo.
Part of the genius of the series, and one of the most misunderstood design aspects is that they offer an insane amount of variety to tailor the game to how you would want to play. There is no best armor or best weapon and everything can be upgraded to an extent allowing for player choice to determine how difficult the game actual is. It had less to do with skill than with decision making.
That’s often why the clones that come out pale in comparison, they’re too caught up on the combat or the difficulty and don’t take the role playing into account.
As for the “bloodborne is 50% walking argument” it makes little sense. Sure there are areas with few enemies, but most of the game has an enemy except other corner. I have my own issues with the game and think it’s the worst of the From souls games, but it’s not a walking sim by any stretch. Especially compared to Thief, which is literally just walking
This is pretty much why the Souls games have never clicked with me because I have a faint idea of how the mechanics work and how to actually apply the ones I do know, which is part of the reason I suck at the game (the other part being that I genuinely suck at fighting the bosses).Kinda yes and no, if you know what you are doing then a lot of areas and bosses become far easier. You don’t really need to memorize anything. My first playthrough was completely blind and I just mashed the trigger buttons. Very few souls enemies give much of a challenge. And the bosses can all be beaten easily if you pay attention to them for a few seconds. It’s only hard in that it doesn’t pause and tell you how to do each and every attack. And I like that because I hate tutorialsIt might be due to being a long time ago, but I feel like back in 2010's there was over reliance on quest markers, and game areas felt more like a mishmash of setpieces rather than an actual location. My brother is doing an arcane run in Bloodborne, its a hard start but once it gets set he can steamroll everything lategame.I’ve actually argued for a long time that the souls games are not difficult. Souls games are very easy if you use the right equipment and very difficult if you use the wrong equipment. Magic users have always been able to steam roll the bosses without having to learn them. It's why traditionally the community always recommended playing blind as a melee build with a ranged support for pulling enemies or shooting things you couldn't reach with melee. It lead to the most learning and exploration of the games content. You could always go with a huge melee weapon which would stagger almost every enemy or a smaller one which would require tighter timing so the difficulty scale was still in effect. My brother is doing an arcane run in Bloodborne, its a hard start but once it gets set he can steamroll everything lategame.
If a domino effect of the Trumpers shitting themselves in public is I don't have to see these faggy culture war videos in my youtube recommendations anymore then I'm glad they did.Dunno, it's still up for now.

Dark souls legacy is slow, simple combat when it's strength was returning to a player focused adventure. Instead of interesting dynamic worlds we have bland worlds with poor combat because game designers don't understand what made the souls games successful. They were adventure games, not open world collectathons but adventure games. Games like God of war took the absolute worst part of the souls games and added it to the absolute worse triple A traits they could. So now we get mediocre combat on top of a game which doesn't trust you to play it and wants to force story down your throat. It's the same way they took diablo loot and started adding it to open world games because borderlands did it. It makes idiots feel good to find a +2 sword but adds nothing to the game the way borderlands different weapons did.
