Ina has been the one who pretty much openly admitted she didn't look at this as more than temporary or as a way to take a break from what she normally does as a gacha artist. I feel like she's trying to strike a balance between her chosen career and what she views as a "side gig." She's not the first holo to do so. IIRC Suisei has stated outright that if she gets offered to become a normal regular idol she's dropping out of Hololive because she always had her eyes on something bigger. Can't fault the girl for having dreams.

From what I heard the contents of this leak are specifically things that make Doris and Echo look bad.

Can anyone who reads Chinese verify this? The only thing I have to go off is a 4chan post. Apparently Doris on her new Weibo account confirmed it was real. It seems that HoloCN (outside of Yogiri) had a falling out shortly after their contract termination, which makes sense because they ended up not sticking together despite announcing plans to do so. It's weird to me that Artia would choose to leak something like this with this timing, long after the dust has settled and everyone is trying to rebuild their fanbases and move on. Maybe she is actually just crazy.

I'm not posting this to kick someone while they're down or gloat, and most people (myself included) have already moved on from HoloCN but it's interesting that someone that does this was at one point a Hololive member. YAGOO put all his points into luck by dodging this time bomb before she could cause any collateral damage. I think some of what's being said corroborates with what @Anon2411 was talking about back in november.

Also, Yogiri did nothing wrong.

I think you recalled wrong because in the interview with Tamaki she said she want to keep this job for 10 years, on Youtube or not. And despite the girl having her dream of big stage, she's also very grateful to Cover/Hololive for giving this chance. Keeping her image of an idol, she won't openly said she'll ditch the ship as soon as the bigger one coming even if she plan to do exactly that.

Plus, doesn't Hololive been giving exactly what she want? I haven't been keeping record but she might be the one with the most Live concert under her belt beside the musical senpai like Sora and AKZi. She also get to meet with a lot of artists she admire on her weekly radio show, also got to appear on national TV. This year she also was hinting an album and (maybe more than one) solo live concerts. Don't see what kind of huge offer need to make her throw away all that for. I think if she'll go big, she'll try her best to go as Hoshimachi Suisei or try to keep the role after going irl.

Holy hell, I fucking knew the CN branch is a fucking liability. I have only read the summary of Echo and her cheating on her fiance in america, but what about the others? I also just knew that Yogiri is Taiwanese. Her being not having any dirt on this leak probably has something to do with that fact. That or she's just a good girl like Sena/Gura did.

You're probably right, I only have secondhand shit to go off of with some stuff but I do know there are a few talent who got into hololive not really treating it like a full-fledged career. Suisei's dreams are to be an idol no matter the cost, and if hololive is giving her what she wants then she'll stick.
