Jesus christ you guys are gloomy. Settle down, dude. It's not going to be much different.
Well of course I'm gloomy about another neocon/neolib president, perpetuating the slow decline of the country for everyone but corpo faggots. (The Orange Nigger wouldn't have been any different though, really). It just makes me question if voting really changes anything, if both viable candidates (in any given election) are going to do mostly the same shit anyways. I don't think it does. I think that we live in some fucked up oligarchy, or more accurately a plutocracy.

It hasn't matter since at the very least past '65 when the (((Uniparty))) assumed full control. Not to mention after the 2020 election, you don't even have the illusion of choice, they'll just straight up dump votes in the middle of the night, censor any opposing viewpoints, and have 25k troops protect the 'most popular president in history'.

Get /fit/, make friends, start a family, and stay the hell away from any cities.

Who's excited for this!?!?

The first real life anime character, as my friend likes to call him.
Again, this is victory for them. This is them hearing that Nazi Germany has surrendered. And Biden is their Winston Churchill that guided them through their darkest hour. Hell, there'll be a shitload of people called Churchill.
Why would they NOT celebrate the start of the road to healing and their progressive utopia?
He got the house and senate. He's gonna pack the fucking courts and the courts deserve to be packed and it's going to be humorous when the republican judges get purged.

That's what I'm afraid of, especially when the Republicans and media refuse to be effective opposition.

The Republicans would rather "lose with dignity" than take the Democrats to task for their bullshit, and the media in general will just play softball after they spent the last four years crucifying every little thing the Trump administration did (especially if something "suddenly" happens to make Kamala take charge).

Two words: Political Capital.

You can’t rush through every crazy policy. And with democrats having lost every battleground house seat and a 50-50 split in the Senate, one dumb legislation could see all gains disappear. It happened to Obama, it happened to Trump, and it’ll probably happen to Biden.
Here's the thing: The Democrats know how to play the game. They know how keep people from attacking them before it's too late. We're going to see them pursue their pet projects. And the left has people like Nancy Pelosi who bring people back into the fold. They know literally anything can be spun into good optics and PR and they use that knowledge. The only thing that a Democrat gets chided for these days is when they do or say openly something too quickly or too openly too soon, like AOC calling for lists of Trump people or Pelosi, Schumer and others kneeling while wearing Kente cloths in the peak of the George Floyd hysteria (that or in the immediate aftermath of it.). ANd now, they don't have to worry about keeping their attack dogs on the leash. It's open season. And for some, they're ready to show what they're planning for in Minecraft and Roblox over the next few years (and with the promise of "you guys are going to LOVE IT". I know I will). And now that the left has the means to easily pursue their pet projects, the road to their progressive utopia will be advanced on so fast you can slap a eurobeat track onto it, and the only deviation will be to change the radio to something like "Teriyaki Boyz" to make the thing more like a party. When do you think they'll achieve their utopia. I really think there's a chance it'll be achieved by the end of this decade.
I don't like either poilitical party and think they're all corrupt, but I hoped Trump would win because at the very least he'd have to pretend to follow generally conservative values and the government would need to showcase that, even if it's just appeasement. Now the brakes are off and we're downhill into a left-wing dystopian nightmare, and the worst part is it's going to seem like Biden's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing, business as usual. Tax dollars thrown in the millions to the new millions of illegal immi - woops, undocumented migrants we'll take in. Transgender programs for kids. Crackdown on internet speech and social media. Might even be some police defunding. There's bad times ahead and I worry that Biden's admin is going to make Obama's look far-right by comparison. Sure the president doesn't actually change much, but Biden's not the issue, it's the administration behind him and the fact that now the government doesn't even need to pretend to not be rooted in far-left interests and corporate-lobbying control. They can just let loose.
Someone gets the worst part of it all. How long before the Rock Bottom is finally achieved? And what's the worst thing you see happening in Minecraft? My guess is MAGA people are on the receiving end of a Charleston, Columbine, OKC or New Zealand. People hate them that much and like New Zealand, think they're doing something for the good of their people. And pretty much anything can be excused these days if it's in the name of attacking MAGA or can be spun into good optics and PR or goes with the established narrative.

"The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies... is a foolish idea. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies."

~Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, 1966

(though I do think Trump came closest to bucking this trend as any president in my lifetime, at least for the fact he started no new wars)

I'm just delighted Trump's lame duck was as pathetic as it was. I was worried after 4 years of sucking cock he'd do a few good EOs, resulting in the MAGAtard crowd an acting like he was jesus for eternity. Trump used his lame duck to comdemn/prosecute his own supporters, destroy environmental regulations, block medicine shipments from entering Iran, put Israel in the US cointelpro, give another 7.6 billion to Israel, and pardon a bunch of Iraq War criminals/Mossad spies/white collar criminals.

May this faggot rot in hell. Salut.

65k troops last count.

If there would be a mass killing of maga ppl the establishment would blame Trump and minimize the culprits culpability and not even mention that it is entirely their fault for demonizing innocent people.

What they have done with their creation of TDS is perhaps the greatest crime against humanity, that instillation of abject insanity and irrational baseless seething hatred in 100s of millions of people across half of planet. It is staggering how effective that psyop has been.

Full list of pardons. No Assange, not even Dolly!

I'm just sad that we got what seems to be the worst possible ending.
  • Trump lost, liberals get to gloat
  • The lawsuits and Krakens led to literally nothing
  • Lost the Senate
  • The Occupation was hilarious, but didn't lead to anything except liberals having an excuse to clamp down on people even harder, in hindsight the lulz weren't worth the price
  • Jack and company got away with it scot free
  • Nothing good declassified by bitter Trump

Welcome to the bad end.

I have the deepest concern about what the scarring will be like from the armed dictatorship-esque inauguration tomorrow. Taste of things to come, or will DC return to normalcy in a few months?

I expect the illusion of free speech to die completely. Even if laws did not bind citizens to allow it, I still find the lack of value in it to be disheartening. I think we took a bad path after the 2000s, because things seemed to be on a better course then.

Au Contraire, watching Trump crash and burn has been the funniest thing in 2020. What a fitting shitshow for a shitty president.

Well, there was the part where Pompeo called the Ughuyr situation a genocide, so expect some Armenia/Turkey shit from the MAGA crowd that might survive.

You're late if you're now bitching about Trump not being a /pol/ wet dream.

I'm more concerned of the people now emboldened to boot up Minecraft now. We have people talking about how they hate the MAGA crowd, have positions that they know can be easily be hand waved away if it supports the narrative or makes for good optics and PR, and now they're in power. And they hold a lot of it. And can do things unopposed.

I'm coping bro:
