I notice Vaush never even passively mentions his sources. Even when I am talking about something off the top of my head, I'll say it was an article in the New York Times or it was a documentary I saw last year. Vaush can't even do that, he is the type of guy these "experts say" articles are for; half the time it is one guy positing some sort of vague untested hypothesis. That retarded shit actually works on guys like this.
I remember years and years ago I was talking with this Anthropology student from one of the top universities in North America, and she was pitching me this cool new theory that the reason women are shorter than men on average is because at the dinner tables throughout time (?) patriarchy meant men ate first so women were always getting scraps and so they I guess evolved to be smaller. This is a person who was going for a Masters degree, and this was all based on nothing, she just read some nonsense in a niche magazine that looked glossy, and then it becomes a thing that "experts say."

It's astounding that so few people check him on that. I've only seen a few debates but he does this constantly and I can't remember a single person even asking him what the study was, or following up. The only reason I can think of is nobody in these exchanges has sources on hand, so if one makes it an issue then it becomes a trend and then everyone realizes that nobody has actually looked into anything and it all falls apart. I'm sorry for coming off as contrarian here, but this feels very .. out of context? It's only a seven-second clip, with no elaboration whatsoever. He even says at the start of the clip that "I know these answers, but I'm asking you", possibly indicating that this is just some sort of rhetorical question. Does he actually go on to defend child pornography in some way? I'd check the context myself, but I don't want to sift through over an hour and a half of this to find wherever this was said.

We're missing the underlying point he is trying to make, which is he believes there is no difference between employment and rape. If you remove the child aspect, he's still saying that there is zero difference between being raped on film and that film being distributed, and having to fulfill an employment contract.
Pointing to Vaush's troubling perversions and Marxist justifications for sexual assault is fun and all, but to me it's more interesting to cut through that smokescreen and address his fundamental ridiculous assertions.
If someone wants to take on Vaush, his biggest painpoint is that he calls himself a Progressive Socialist but deals almost entirely in Marxist rhetoric and Bolshevik-style revolutionary fantasies. This is why you can just call him a communist pervert. At the same time remember that he reads nothing and most likely doesn't understand the foundations of his rhetoric. I've done this more than once myself with fans of his, but the next time he mentions "capital" or "exploitation," have him unpack that and explain what he means. My sense is that he believes exploitation means doing something you don't want to do, which reveals a lot about where he is coming from ideologically.
