After they raided the building and interrupted the count, the feds have been rounding up hundreds of young people and putting them down a path of 10+ years in federal prison during their youth.
He could have helped these people, by himself, with zero support from the government that hated him - but chose not to, because the Senate Republicans wanted 'justice' and they'll also be voting on his insurrection charges later this year. He, a 74-year-old man, is literally too afraid for his own well-being to help hundreds of people less a third his age.
And now, with no actual good done and only superficial changes (Biden intends to have congress strike out the new payment network regulations day one), he's out. Whether or not he lost the vote fairly, having no voter ID laws definitely didn't help him. I firmly believe there is no hope for the US. 'Conservatives' will be purged from the workforce and banks and be left to fend for themselves.
The only person who ever challenged the status quo at the highest echelons of government completely and totally betrayed everyone who supported him. He has set a standard that no one should ever try, and nobody ever will again. At his last opportunity to do something right he took the most craven route possible and he should hang like a coward. I would humbly accept his dangling corpse to be a gesture of goodwill from this new government. It's the least they can do before they drain the rest of the country completely dry.
