General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The entire thing is full radioactive autism

Is not his fault that the trenders have poisoned the pool so hard that now being Predebut is the new pronouns in bio

Money that someone forgot the obligatory pronoun checks

He hate Magik bullet because he said the truth AGDQ is full of trannies and lunatics and Pez is a whiny bitch

The more you dig it get more and more stupid, money that Koffie is lying about her disease for brownie points

Context is that the guy did a over the line joke, learned his mistake and even asked people on the discord how to apologize properly, the guy proceed to do the adult thing to do and the girl instead of letting it go just triple down in her bitchiness

And yes the bitch is TBD

I'm gone for a little while and this place explodes. It seems that the trend-chasing poser English Vtuber scene has detonated way earlier than expected. I'm interested in seeing what interesting tidbits drop into our laps via Twitter tantrums. Let the schadenfreude flow.

I usually don't like to just post cheap drama but this is funny, and topical since we were just ("just" is a relative term seeing how fast this thread moves) talking about the splinter-groups of Domo's Cabal.

Holoslaves server is blown up amidst controversy, and have broken off into other groups now, "officially." Of course this person decides to air everyone's nothingburger dirty laundry (Homophobia? Transphobia? Seriously?) , and hilarity ensued this morning, at least for a little bit.

Always knew people with "El Pez" and "Boorjwazee" in their profiles were cancer, and now I know why.
Remember back when I was talking about how these manipulative "king of the nerds" types operate? I am totally unsurprised by this. The only thing that DOES surprise me is how suddenly this happened.

The EN Indies are turning some 4chan anon's suspicion of one particular guy who has lots of clout within the community into some sort of copypasta

By the way, i know someone said that the indies are exposing each other as predators or whatever but i want to see the screenshots of the slapfight
It's about time more and more people have started calling out these grifters and clout-chasers for what they are.

Hate to say it, but the face pic of Subaru isn't her. The one in photo is married and have a kid, and the age doesn't match. All the lead reach the dead end. Currently she's one of the few that's untraceable like Suisei and Ayame.
I gotta disagree with you on this one. She's got a brother with kids. She admitted it on stream like a year ago or something (I can't find the clip though). It's her. The stuff about "the broad in the picture is married" is horseshit. The girl you're talking about in those pictures is in the karaoke contest with a ton of current Hololivers from back in the pre-Hololive days. It's got Towa, Mio, Okayu, etc. Subaru's in it, she is just wearing a mask but the hair and body type are identical to the girl in the picture with her "husband and child" (actually older brother and his kid). You listen to her talk and sing and really quickly you'll know that it's her. (I was going to link the vid but it seems the channel was deleted and I can't find mirrored anywhere.)

I know it's a bit of a tall order to ask you to believe me when I say I've seen the proof. I can't find the evidence anymore. Most of it has been taken down or moved and I have lost track of which doxxfags are still up and which have been taken down.
Because for every one fan who wants to respectfully discuss their past life, there's a dozen or so tards who spam every youtube video comments section with "GUYS [CHUUBA] IS [ROOMMATE] I'M FROM THE FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE DISCORD" or not-so-subtly hinting at the same. It gets to the point where Senzawa's entire comment section and reputation is nothing more than "Is also a vtuber", same with Dice and now seemingly Keekihime. It's like mixing Fanta with Costa Coffee, they may both be from Coca Cola but they're different fucking products for god's sake, keep them separate.
Not gonna lie, getting absolutely sick and tired of these trend-chasing clout-seeking posers. They're springing up like weeds. I noticed the Canine Tooth channel removed all his content, probably as a result of all the doxfags out there taking his stuff. It's a shame--in the descriptions of his videos, he just wanted to get Korone fans to go back and appreciate some of her previous work as Miyasuke.
To suburbanites, hipsters, neets and retards, the act of putting in any effort into anything at all is problematic, toxic, abusive and sometimes even tyrannical and must be combated.
Shit, bro, you just described about 95% of the entire Millennial generation, without which, this fine Forum would not exist.
Korone is too professional about her job. She will not go to bed, not take a rest or give up until she achieves what she set out to do. That's the impression I got from her 12-hour long Sonic2 stream. I can't see many indie "TBA"tubers having 0.1% of her work ethic or insanity. Also holy shit is she charismatic for being a japanese woman on the internet.
She's probably one of most people's gateways into Japanese Vtubers because of her work ethic. I also think she just genuinely enjoys streaming.

Seriously, the majority of these TBA tubers are clout-chasing posers. (Jesus, I'm saying that a lot. Seems like being a clout-chasing poser is almost the norm anymore, sadly.) If they were serious about streaming, they'd slap together a piece-of-shit model and run with it as best as possible. This is just another "get rich quick" scheme that will never pan out for any of them because they're lazy and immensely stupid.

Several have awakened to the fact that yeah, maybe those dumbasses are in just for the clout and it required a Hololiver for that, you are going to see several of those imbeciles deleting TBD from their bio but they are easy to spot because they dont have links to their channels

Edit: lmao Gura singing the Sonic Green Hill Zone theme, she watched Korone streams

I was going to put money on the release of HololiveEn Gen 2. That’d be the point where all the jealousy and salt would equal the levels seen in the Dead Sea.

Here you go man:

I think it’s because they really wanna try and expand EN in the future so their gonna have their own server built from the ground up like JP did. ID is usually seen, as a “side branch.” EN to me at least feels like it’s gonna be a new “main branch” which is why they recruit 5 instead of 3 like stars, ID and CN did per gen. ID just needed a place to go and they were small enough to where they could just stick them there.

This has been common speculation. EN has certainly proved their potential in growing so it makes sense for them to have their own server when they get more talents. I'd also throw my hat in and speculate that they only created their own server after the majority of them really wanted to play minecraft and not wait out the collab ban that all new gens have to play on the JP server and also have a fresh slate to figure everything out instead of having a variety of JP girls shower them in enchanted gear and fairly good late-game items. Also few of the girls have mentioned they're all whitelisted to join in on the JP server but they all prefer their own server for the "fresh slate" reason.

EN not only proved but outright surpassed the generation before them in less time, so they are now in a weird limbo, they are a branch but their pull is almost as big as the main ones, pretty sure Cover did not expect this boom so suddenly

I also have had some speculation that behind the scenes Cover told the girls that they were expecting them to be only slightly more popular than the ID branch and to expect viewership/subscribers amounts around that area. It is a theory that I've really only held with the proof being that they seemed pretty surprised at their viewership/super chats/memberships post-debut and that the viewership expectation was based on the only other attempt at an official English branch prior to HoloEN which was the rebranding of Nijisanji India to English which was not very successful (due to a few reasons) and also the fact some EOP viewers would latch onto watching HoloID and NijiID talents because they would speak english occasionally.
Cover was definitely not expecting EN to be as successful as it has been, as confirmed a few times by the girls themselves. The level of expectation really was probably somewhere around where Lurker speculates in the last quote. Along the lines of what Lurker said in the second quote, I think the EN server also grew more out of a desire of the girls to do their own thing than being dictated by management. Best example of that is Kiara taking the opportunity to invite Huke before people got a little bent out of shape about it on a technicality.

Cypher brings up a good point in that they brought on 5 members for EN 1st gen rather than 3 for CN and ID. That's actually the same as Holostars 1st gen and if EN ended up being an even smaller deal than whatever meager expectations they had before, they could have limited future gens to just 3 new members, like they eventually did with Holostars. Considering the actuality of their success now though, they probably should consider them a third branch in terms of future growth, despite how much a certain bird wants to pretend she's part of JP and therefore they don't need any future generations.

Anyhow, I think now that we've seen the results, it's easy to take it for granted that EN was always a guaranteed success. I think before they hit, it was actually a pretty big gamble: at the time, they were working off the popularity of translated clips vids and Asacoco. I remember the lead-up to EN debut and worrying that Western weebs were going to be tards who couldn't handle more than twenty minutes of vtuber at a time. Seems dumb in retrospect, but we're talking about weebs here. You also ought to imagine you're a Japanese businessman looking at a data sheet on the worldwide popularity of Japanese rap and take another look at Calli. While you're at it, imagine you are a sane person and look at Kiara and listen to her talk and imagine the sheer terror of knowing you are about to spend a lot of money on inflicting her on the world while there's a global pandemic going on. Huge gamble.

There were a lot of dire predictions in the leadup to the EN debut.

Predictions are hard, especially about the future.

I'm confirming stuff with the guy I know is a digger for Subaru, but for now, just know that YMD is married on 5/4/2017. There is a tweet for it. And yes, YMD is in that event with other girls. Doesn't mean she HAVE to be Subaru. I also find it hard to believe YMD had openly admit she's Subaru. Got to need evidence for that. Below is YMD tweet about her one year anniversary.

Granted, the whole thing would fit if Subaru was lying about all the part-time work and her study stuff, but we don't have any proof of that either.

Must be ironic being her because she surpassed almost all the other JP hololives except the big cashcows
More specifically, I've heard her say recently that Hololive has enough people now and they don't need any new members for a while. That's if you're Kiara, it could be competition, but most fans of EN branch could use some more EN content.

If we dont see any castings in a couple of months i'm going to asume the only one that is going to debut this year is the EN Vsinger, Azki needs company after all

Woohoolad made a "response video" but it looks like he deleted it. Hei also deleted his videos and advertised the crab in an "update". Seems like the best PR move because while the crab is apart of Domo's cabal and does share some blame in it, the faukku guy seems to be the biggest tard that really started it by opening his dumb mouth. I'm sure some other retard would've been the one to expose that it was coco but he was the first one to actually do it.

I would love to see more EN vtubers who aren't clout chasing fags. I know I should probably look harder, but I'd rather just let Cover do that work for me and vet and tard wrangle them when necessary. For right now though, Cover is looking to expand. Hopefully its more stuff like moderators or something to help beef up their resources of protecting their talent like they said they would. So I'd be surprised if we see any new members of any branch other than the Vsinger anytime soon.

Quote function isn’t working in this zone. Damn internet. But I was going to point out she also pointed out they could use more EN talent from Europe. I think she was referring more to expansion of the brand in general, and her point isn’t entirely wrong. Still, I’d like to see an ENBros Branch.

So I agree with 90% of what you're saying and even think this bit holds together until you factor in that they managed to sign on Senzawa. I don't know how you look at someone who was almost at 1 Million subscribers on her own and go "Hmmmm... I think a best case scenario for this group is 400K per member in a year's time." I've said it before, but I feel like the higher ups in Cover might have started to look at everything in a negative light since they were having a rough year before the EN debut.
