Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Remember, all you had to do was exclude California in 2016, and Trump won the popular vote by over 1 million.

In 2020, if you take the numbers at face value, 5 million votes of Biden's 7 million were from California. If you combined California and New York, Trump won the other 48 states by 40,000, so a virtual dead heat.

These people legit want California and New York to be able to tell the entire rest of the country what to do.

I agree if you remove California and New York. The popular vote would be more competive like the electrical vote.

I hate when you hear people from California complaining about not having enough say. I'm like fuck you, you have 53 house repsentives, 42 of them Democrat, you don't need more power.

You don't get it! Rather than do anything tangible or even nuanced with his political power beyond walking the party tightrope so he can continue to be relevant, he prays for women who are seeking abortions and evangelizes to them to reconsider.

I think I read that the pope himself, or maybe just some high up bishop, personally okayed him receiving communion again. I'm not 100% on that, though. In these times, take everything you read with a big ole grain of salt, anyways, ya know?

It's happened once at a church he visited, and IIRC he has beef with the USCCB for the same reasons.

Somewhat surprisingly, he hasn't been excommunicated. Turns out, "drafts and/or assents to legislation that perpetuates the murder of children in the womb" doesn't bring about excommunication latae sententiae, even though procuring an abortion does. Maybe you can say that what he does falls under can. 1329 (acting as an accomplice to an automatically excommunicable act), but that's a bit of a stretch.
