These stupid gay indie games dont deserve more recognition because they already have enough. Most of the time they get to the highest average review score thanks to gay tranny circlejerks on itch.io, especially visual novels. Speaking VNs the artwork for most of them is awful and the people who make them should feel bad.

The game has a curvy girl with big boobs and a bunch of hookers in the intro, which presumably is what got the ResetEra crowd all hot and bothered, but they chose to ignore that this is a future where anyone can look like basically anything due to advanced cyberware and self-modification being a thing. The game also lampshades it later because one of the murderous ghosts in the game is a woman who became obssessed with self-modification and gradually went insane in pursuit of it. The game is very Silent Hill 4 meets Cyberpunk once you get into it, and it actually works really well with some of the game design.

The reason that the Dev went for the art style they did, aside from the obvious ("If I'm looking at a character for X hours playing this game, they may as well be an attractive one") is because Sense touches upon some really disturbing themes once it hits full burn, which, naturally, involve sex and death because those are very good at fucking with people in a horror environment. That the game features a ton of themes that these people would set themselves on fire to defend if one of their chosen few did them is lost on them.

Where their hate comes from - and near as I can tell, ResetEra was ironically only partially involved with this - is their hate of the art style and the fact that the game came to Switch. They were dead silent when the game hit PC six months ago. What's changed seems to mostly be that Nintendo has been increasingly willing to take in game devs that put out mature themes. The fact that this one game had a hot protagonist and some cheesecake art was enough to make them utterly lose their shit.

You know why people don't give a singular shit anymore? Because every time one comes out, no matter how fucking terrible it is, it is hailed as the best thing ever. So nobody pays attention and associates queer games (pretty much rightly) with trash. Maybe if you were more selective in the titles you pushed, they'd get more attention. But when you're constantly shilling rancid trash, expect people to think everything in that genre is rancid trash.

Well, Nintendo has frankly been basically absorbing all of the fleeing Japanese devs from Sony because Nintendo's censorship polices are surprisingly lax. All they say is "Just slap a warning on it or w/e, we don't care. We let the parents control it." So they're losing their shit because Nintendo honestly does not care as long as its rated properly and they have controls to make these games unavailable for younger audiences.

These people are complete slaves to authority. You're not going to get Steam to pull a game (they already have X-rated stuff on the platform), but a large corporation like Nintendo might. Except, Nintendo doesn't care.

Remember, these people can't do anything on their own. If they're not listened to or if something is too large and autonomous to listen to the mob, they just ignore it and go for something they think they can strong arm. But if you don't budge, they can't do anything.

We've come a bizarrely long way from the "grey sweat" replacing blood on the Super Nintendo's Mortal Kombat. It's hard to believe that we still had Sony games like Stretch Panic on the PS2, where you boss rush fat-titted bimbos with a pinchy scarf, to flipping on content for both companies to the point that we have stripper anime pachinko on the Switch.

Nintendo hasn't been absorbing any devs outside of Monolith studios though(which was their own people at this point). The gravity rush people who left are making their own studio and will operate as a satellite much like the same way the Psygnosis people did or as the main dude from monster Hunter world is doing for Capcom. What happens is that these people get hired on as contractors for larger games to finish shit. Monolith had this happen with breath of The Wild for example.

Any of the publishers or studios affected by the censorship polices are still putting games out for the PS4 and will be putting games out on the PS5. There's been no exodus which is why Nintendo bought Monolith, Sony and Microsoft bolstered their ranks with a shitload of studio purchases and Nintendo has had weak output for a long ass times ever since rare went kaput. The influx of cash into monolith for being bought out usually means they're going to be upping their output. Much like how when insomniac was bought, they were sudddenly able to revive Ratchet and Clank and other IPs.

I'm going to throw my voice in agreement that, once again, nobody cares whether or not such-and-such characters are LGBT in a video game, the only thing people care about is if the game is good or not.

Case-in-point: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Say what you will about the comic book series or the movie, but the game is absolutely fantastic. It's essentially a spiritual successor to the NES classic River City Ransom with four player co-op. The fact that the game was rereleased recently on PC and current-gen consoles after being unavailable due to licensing issues was highly celebrated among players. And Scott Pilgrim is a series littered to the brim with gay characters, including one whose entire identity surrounds the fact that he's gay, yet you don't hear anyone complaining about it. Why? Because people just want to play a good game.

I pirated it when it was new. But I wasted my time doing that. I believed it was a horror game like many others did at first and it was just some stupid story about a dumb teen who goes off with her AWOL girlfriend. You have no choices. You're supposed to think your little sister's silly teen romance is the most romantic and amazingly poingnant thing ever. You just look through stuff and feel betrayed. I like point and click so the walking simulator thing didn't bother me much. It was the story that got me. Especially the red herring about the seance and the haunting. I was expecting to find everyone murdered or something. That would have at least been interesting.

If we lived in a better world, DOOM Eternal or Ghost of Tsushima would have been game of the year. However, game of the year isn't actually there to reward excellent games: much like the oscars, its there to prop up games that have a rough opening or aren't doing as well on the market that companies had hoped. Thus, they are bought advertising. That's the only reason The Last of Us 2 took home the GOTY award from that one popular goty show out of fivethousand goty shows.

Your LBGT+ games won't get in. You don't have the budget or the importance. People aren't paying for the LBGT niche market you like nor are companies. You have to accept this and learn to celebrate games you love within your own circles and prop developers up that way.

Being not shit also helps. I can't give a shit about VNs since most of them have bad writing, and LBGT games are no exception to the 90% shit to 10% decent to good stuff rule. I imagine most normies feel the same considering vn sales. Even those that are a hybrid or an actual non VN still tend to blow since politics first game second. I like many other LBGT in the thread just want to play good fucking games dammit. Let me Doom Guy in peace, whether he likes chicks or dicks or both is up to him as long as he stays a good demon killing lad to humanity.

She gives Celeste as an example, but Madaline was only declared trans a year or two later after the game came out when one of the lead developers declared herself to be Male to Female (I run in these groups so I have to make use of proper pronouns so I don't get my head split opened for slipping up, plus I respect her choice unless she does some weird fetish shit).

Tried to record a gameplay video but it always failed.. So I screencapped the first cutscene, it just boring dialogue... PS: the game didn't even start and you got this... the dev should just do a fanfic... at this point.. also ish the cheap art... the character don't even match

I picked up Sense as well, and while it's not superb -- there's some damned annoying bits, like not being able to pick up things until you actually need them, which necessitates a lot of backtracking and searching -- it's not bad. I like how you may fight a few ghosts, but others you need to pull together supplies to placate them, which makes them move on. Interesting stuff.

-It your first day of school, you can speak to people... they were also a furry..
-You go to the washroom fight one chick, then you get the first class, this is when you ecounter the sassy latina girl (the lover you quit in the first cutscene)
