Who is going to stop them, seriously? The Trump movement imploded in the most spectacular way possible, the GOP is about to have/already having a purge to push out Trumpism, and the Democrats hold all three branches of Government with a loyal Bureaucracy to actually enforce all EOs immediately.
Oh, and if any plebs get any funny ideas, non-democratic ideas, then they can put them into the dirt, accelerate consolidation of communications, and further cultivate a revived post-9/11 culture of fear/paranoia.

There's one thing that 2020 has taught me: EVERYTHING is a partisian issue.
Especially on the left. If you are 95% on the left's side, you are their enemy. If you support trans rights but don't want to suck lady dick yourself, you are their enemy. If you support black rights but thinking burning and looting is going too far, you are their enemy. If you think there is some sort of balance exists between COVID protections and lockdown restrictions, you are their enemy.
I'm not going to say the right is perfect, but usually when you disagree with the right they just call you an idiot or a pussy. They don't actively try to destroy your career for disagreeing with them.
