I don't understand how Louis thinks he is convincing anyone that he is starving and has no access to food when he posts pictures of his bloated self on twitter. then again, I also don't understand how he convinces anyone that he truly believes he is a woman when he posts those pictures, either. the way that his simps will bend themselves into pretzels trying to rationalize how he is telling the truth about anything when there is so much proof to the contrary is almost fascinating.

Edit: Forgot to mention that hospitals pass the buck on to patients who are insured and can pay their bills to cover the patients who aren't insured and can't pay their end. Its a big part of why medical fees and insurance is so high in the US.

That's interesting-- and it sounds familiar. I know many Mennonite and Amish branches FORBID photography as well as allowing mirrors in the home. There are some large Mennonite schools in PA, but I think the more common type of schools are the one-room schoolhouses that kids walk to, and probably some home schoolers as well.

What's ironic is that while they eschew worldly things, these same groups will still have phone/computer access "for business purposes" if their bishops approve.

Unlike Lou, they'll pay for medical bills out of pocket as they refuse to get Medicaid for moral reasons. The community will pool money together and help their neighbor pay the bill in cash, even if it's hundreds of thousands of dollars. Seeking medical care isn't uncommon for them as there are a lot of genetic diseases in the community.

Quakers are really out in left field in some places in PA... tied to all sorts of "worldly" things like music festivals and universities.

EDIT: Lou definitely pings as some kind of Mennonite/Amish offspring, particularly with that prominent neckbeard. However, most of the folks in that group are too physically active to end up in Lou's condition.

Yeah, Prime is $119, cheaper for students (I think $90). Absolutely worth it if you make a lot of shipments through the year, since it gives you the free shipping as well as some occasional discounts - and that's ignoring the little things on the side it gets you. I'd say that Lou having it here is absolutely the one instance where he's done something to save money.

...unless you're right, and he's doing expedited. That shit's fucking expensive - I think when I see the option, it's usually ~$10 for two-day, and $20-30 for 1-day. We have seen no evidence that he wouldn't gladly spend that premium.

However, as I'm not really a believer in a higher power, I'll point out something else: existence itself clearly doesn't want anything to do with this motherfucker, and is trying its best to kill off a guy who doesn't actually do anything with his life that might put him in any actual risk or discomfort. I'm about to blow a whole bunch of time chopping up veggies for a stew while being bored out of my fucking mind doing so. But at the very least, Lou always gives me the courage to press on with meal prep rather than buy pre-prepared shit: I'd do anything not to be that guy, including chop taters and peppers for solid hours.
