I never understood Quintons fascination with a poorly written boomer comic strip anyways. Probably because it is just as bland as his milquetoast personality. Garfield is so uniquely cynical and unfunny that Jim Davis inadvertently made something with extreme comic potential by setting out to make it as anodyne as possible.

Sadly for Q, that’s why lasagnacat already exists and single-handedly invented and perfected the Garfield comedy genre in two fell swoops. He’s not the only person guilty of trying to construct a personality out of the lasgnacat afterglow, but he might be the most transparent.

That is a pretty insightful observation, I haven't necessarily pinned that to his fascination with it, but I feel that is a likely explanation. Here's a preview of the latest dating with Q sim.
