Gotta admit, seeing how the art student have so much fun playing yakuza almost make me want to play the game myself, if only it weren't ridden with so much pointless minigames.

If you want to go through the main story and do some substories in Yakuza 0, then in most cases minigames are optional. I personally adore this game in its entirety, but it's perfectly understandable to me that the amount of activities can be overwhelming.
On the other hand, I think this game is perfect for vtubers: many different situations, both serious and absurd, to react to; this game is set in Japan, but is well-known overseas as well; it's just hard to go wrong when letsplaying this game as a vtuber.

My copy of Yakuza 0 is basically a space harrier emulator lol


You can get through the game without really touching them, though you'll miss out some of the more interesting side characters and some help once you unlock the businesses.

A soon to debut vtuber for your consideration. an SSS tier artist who illustrated her own model.

My main concern is whether she can actually livestream and her voice. From what I can see she's experienced with art and speedpainting videos and doesn't embarrass herself too much on twitter (as far as I know). No big red flags, other than possible Domo association, but I consider that a bit weaker since she doesn't spend all her time sucking off "debut TBA" indies. Likely mediocre with a chance of "really fucking good" but probably not horrible.

I'd venture Calli is playing the field so to speak, and looking for talent in general. We already know that some HL talent had ties to made-members previously, so her observing isn't especially strange (a ton of HLs follow and RT randos' art: see Marine). But, I'd keep my eye on that Ririsyu. She comes across, initially, as a dead fish type personality, but that can work in a Cover that branches into personality based markets (Kuudere sells). But, she also has a voice. I think the JP EMO has a pretty good fit into a future generation. Plus her voice is pretty sweet in conversation. She'd sell, I have no doubt.

I've read threads on the farm before on figures I was interested in before, but was only a lurker. This place seems to be a nice enough location to discuss vtubers that allows frank discussion about a performers previous (unlike Reddit of Twitter) work while also not obsessing over their roommates (imageboards and Discord servers). Thought it was about time I stopped lurking and posted for once. This place honestly ain't too bad (at least when discussing this topic).

I've personally been following vtubers since mid-2018 on a pretty light basis, with lockdown making me a dedicated watcher of this kind of content. Been interesting to see the evolution of the scene. Might bother actually talking about who I follow at some point. Cheers bois.

Yeah, funny how on the naughtiest site on the internet we can talk about anime girl streamers without having too many low lows. If you're having low lows in a forum designed to talk about singing shark girls and dog girls playing Sonic 2, somebody really fucked up. Salte leak made shit uncomfortable for like 6 hours and every once in a while some dumbass needs to be told, "lol, fuck off," but it hasn't seemed particularly difficult for everyone to keep from shitting up the thread.

I wasn't even bothered by that leak too much; I just thought it was funny. As far as the other stuff goes, it's mostly a bunch of people who come in here looking for facedoxxes and then leaving once they have their information, or just being told to get the fuck out if they're being too stupid about it; either that or it's a regular being a bit too spergy and they calm down within like a few hours. The only thing that keeps this place separate from the other shitty vtuber discussion places is that people tend to at least have some sense of maturity here when compared to everywhere else, colorful language aside.

Yeah, Polka's human form is chubby, but she's also Japanese, so she'd prolly be a bit smaller and more fit than the average American woman. Same for Okayu: remove them from the rooms full of emaciated Japanese models and NEETs that you've seen them in and put them in a Denny's and you shall learn the meaning of thirst.

Okayu and Mio are definitely on the bigger side even for Americans, while Polka skirts the line at "average." I'm pretty convinced that she wasn't actually doing those backflips and someone else animated it for her. Not even Coco can do shit like that and far as I can tell, she's the most acrobatic member by a country mile.

I keep seeing "Oh I joined this discord and they're all crazy!" Or "This discord is full of freaks" but nobody is posting screenshots. Documenting deranged fans is one of the few things threads like these have in common with the rest of the forum, If you're going to check these places out at least bring something back lol.

Discords are hard to document unless you're regularly active in them; while I'm a member of all the main EN hololive discords, I hardly ever read or post in them. There is one discord related to Calli that's her "pre-chat gang" which is far and above the most fetid community related to that woman, but I haven't joined it. I just have stories. Sorry to say but "take our word for it" tends to be the only way to address these discords; I don't see why anyone would have any reason to lie about how bad they are but they also might not want to take the effort to screenshot them or simply can't.
