Yeah Suisei was part of inonaka music till recently, so I dont think its unfair since kiwichaama opened the door for that.

Late in the reply, but you can tell she's Korean (well, East Asian) based on this opinion. The addiction is very much real - it's not labelled as gambling in all but name just because - and is part of why various governments are now targeting such transactions for regulation (ignore all the tax-related items, that's another topic).

Give the average person a bottomless credit account and their gacha game of choice and the whales would be plentiful. It's why such games are sustainable and why gacha will remain a meme unto itself. I don't fault Ina for her opinions considering how clean she runs, but it's good to remember she's coming to it from a position of experience and money/sponsorship able to sustain the dopamine rush.

Azki is not in Hololive (joined officially in 2019) but is probably the most technically skilled singer under Cover. There's a difference between singing songs you like for karaoke or singing songs tailored for you vs being a 12 year career vocalist. Definitely check out her latest Karaoke stream.

After a certain point, "who is the best singer" discussions are as pointless as arguing over what the "best" musical instrument is.

Peko's image of western streamers being dramatic is very Japanese. Makes me laugh every time I hear the typical Japanese sentiment of western things being exaggerated/dramatic when Japanese TV and media exists. I can't think of a single woman who screams like Rushia does over video games. It's like a cultural blind spot to them.

I know that's just Marines opinion but from watching lots of other random clips I get the feeling that Suisei is generally thought of as the best singer at least by the other Hololive members, and Gura is clearly the best Singer(not rapper) from EN. I guess that's why it would be an awesome duet right.

I'm not sure if they include Azki, outside of the fes I'm unaware of how much interactions the rest have with her.

I don't get the need for a Vsinger and forgive my ignorance but isen't/hasn't just original songs released by the Holo members had more success mostly? I don't dislike Azki at all but I don't get the point of her so much unless she is involved in lyrics/coaching of the hololive members?

Calli shouting out Riri was a double edged sword, Riri got a larger following which is great but they're mostly English speaking and her English is very limited, she is getting better but I hope her Japanese fanbase grows more and her English speaking fans learn some basic Japanese.

I found out about Hololive and Vtubers stumbling with one of AZKi's songs on 2019, I immediately recognized her voice and fell into the rabbit hole.
Border of life and the UN Owen 1st anniversary are probably some of my favourite songs.

Thanks I didn't know about that, also it makes sense with her backround and hololive originally trying to be an Idol company, and it makes sense someone like Azki is involved, getting an English Vsinger after the fact makes less sense to me really.

Welp time to download and add this to my playlist. After the karaoke stream, I really hope to see her and Calli collab more with the JP girls music wise. Cloudy sheep was a good start with the whole singing rapping dynamic. Gura however would make a good edition to that 9 weeks of music thing they’re doing right now if they ever do it again, but I’m sure not being able to record in studio is a problem unless they wanna go through the mess of home recoding and I highly doubt they do.

AZKi is just a remain of Cover post generation 0, my guess is that Inonaka was going to be the a transition to the "idol part", they release two generations that were mostly diversity streamers, come Gamers and the numbers showed that they dont have to be particularly Idolish to be profitable, that is why there has not been more Vsingers in JP but tons of Generations of main because there is no need to have a pure Idol that cant put content daily

I think AZKi has noticed that and she is considering to stream normally like her sisters in main convinced by Sora

Getting a professional singer on board is the first step to getting more people who can sing, and getting connections to studios, labels and other important business things that are required to operate in a foreign market. Scoring someone who knows their way around the western weeb music scene would be a logical first step to opening the market and discovering talent. A majority of hololive's current talent had some connection to another member before being accepted.
