And it's specifically because of this that I agree with memegrey initial assessment. It's the first step to lolcowdom. Meme or not, it's mostly what stupid shit she does on social media and how much of a wreck she is as a person before becoming caliope that is talked about in this thread when she came up. Doesn't seem like the coomer-bait type. That's a better term I wasn't thinking of at the time. She could probably laugh at poop and wiener and pee pee all day, but I'm not so sure about pandering to a fanbase of horny losers all day. If you think her joining VShojo is a wonderful idea, I bow to your expertise on the subject of Karen or whatever, but it's probably not a great idea.

Hmm well fuck. This definitely piqued my interest. I really don't know what to say other than I hope she's alright. She's one of the best holos out there, and the numbers don't lie.

She's gotten a lot smarter about social media and is by no means a wreck of a person. Her reasons for traveling to Japan were a little bit weird but there's enough evidence to state that she wasn't a crazy fangirl when she made her first trip there. She states as a joke that she met all of her collaborators by approaching them in a dark alley and shaking them down for whatever she needed at the time, but chances are she'd been involved in some doujin circle fan communities (which are always stupidly small unless you're TYPE-MOON or Team Shanghai Alice) and was able to get some one-on-one time with the creators that she liked such as FAKE-TYPE and Tamaonsen. She's had working relationships with both since she made Japan a permanent residence and even tapped into K's for advice when she first started rapping. To clarify on the whole "she had a crush on AO and that's why she's in Japan," it was more like she decided to stay in Japan to keep working with him and then ended up getting feelings for the guy later, or she came back to Japan after wrapping up things at home because she had a crush. From what I gather about her Applebee's story, she had worked all summer in order to attend a concert tour, met some of the performers and began working with them long distance once she returned home, then enrolled in JET or something similar as an easy way to get a permanent work visa.

Yeah, makes sense. She seems more like the type to laugh at those kinds of jokes rather than make them herself. Granted, she knows how bad some of the shit she says can sound, but she will always tell her chat to not take that shit out of context.

Without going into to much detail though I will say to take what he says here with massive pinches of SALTE. The guy is clearly mentally and physically unwell and is latching onto whatever he see's as the only positive in his life, he talked about dropping a $100 superchat on her while his mom was paying half his rent for example.

Honestly this whole Calli twitter thing is kind of dumb. Tubers interact with each other all the time on twitter and is not even that big a deal. Even if it's for networking purposes it makes sense. From what I've seen on stream with JP collabs Calli can hold a conversation in JP but seems no where as fluent as Kiara. She can rap in JP but that doesn't equate to actual speaking skills as all of us here can learn a JP rap with enough practice and reading and writing is different than actually having a conversation. So some networking for collabs on the english side makes sense and Vshoujo is the biggest name out overseas. The collabs I'm sure are gonna end up happening if they ever do (accept for Zen cause any manager with a brain would know that a collab with a TST is absolutely retarded especially when he looks like a Great Value Walmart brand Coco) just from the simple fact that her gen mates like Gura and Ame don't speak JP, if they ever wanna collab with anyone to begin with. Freaking out and doom posting over her just having friendly banter seems like an overreaction. I'm sure Calli wants to help the Vtuber industry grow, it just so happens that the EN side of it is mostly garbage.

Same, I like the rabbit. But this definitely a weird turn. I wonder if this is closer to a Rushia streaming during the EN Debut scenario. I've got nothing to back this up, but it could be that the call came from management and delivered some news, requirement, or criticism that just lacked any tact and was done while she was working. Now what the substance of that call is, I have no clue. The mentionings of what went on in the member's stream are few and far between it looked like, but all kind of said that it was kind of vague, nothing happened to her per sey, and she can't talk about it.

EDIT: Best I could find, after sifting through some of the obvious anti, troll, and stupid. Obviously this is a bit biased, but it might be the only one talking from experience in the stream.
