Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

You assume we even will be able to look at things in retrospect instead of just hear the endless parroting of the narrative for all eternity. See, so much of society is digital these days and as we move to the cloud, the ability to destroy or otherwise seal information for good becomes easier and easier. A lot of the shit in this thread would exist as diary entries in the pre-digital, diaries that would survive in their descendant's attic for many, many years to come and later become invaluable resources to historians. Not anymore. Once they scrub the servers or the servers become irrepairable, good luck finding the information again. Maybe it's on a hard drive somewhere, better hope the information from that can be recovered.

Maybe there will be servers on the dark web somewhere which will store this information and let it be accessible to those who know it exists, but I bet they'll go for that too. I wouldn't be surprised if it's easier to download TBs of child porn decades from now than it will be to read through archives of 21st century history (assuming child porn isn't legalized thanks to the pedosexual rights movement of course).

And you better hope it even can be read to begin with. Say the United Globohomo Nations of Earth collapses in the year 3021 and a century later people want to research it's formation during the Great Reset. Well, there's no compatible technology to read 21st century hard drives and the schematics for compatible tech simply don't exist anymore.

Given the challenges of digital preservation and how we can digitally preserve things, history and historiography is easier to manipulate than ever before. It's very possible that selective purges of information combined with the natural breakdown and decay of storage media means that researching the 21st century AD will be as challenging as researching the 21st century BC. All records that state false narratives will not exist, it will simply be reduced to "grumbling by far-right conspiracy theories afraid to enter the Superior Future."

Stories, oral records? You better hope your family passes them down and don't just say "grandpa was a Nazi conspiracy theorist, thank Science his kind died out." Historians can just say "oh, well this is a guy who believed the misinformation and conspiracy theories, look how ridiculous he sounds to us enlightened people who actually know what happened in the COVID-19 pandemic." You will be potrayed in the same category as all of history's crazy religious freaks and conspiracy nuts and pseudoscientists, a record of how ridiculous the people who opposed the Great Reset were.

Now I do think that if such a future doesn't come to pass or if the world order of Great Reset crew collapses it will be possible to reconstruct the history they tried to erase, but it would be very challenging. It's like how the only records we have of so many groups of people or religions are the records written by their opponents. This radical revisionist history would probably be impossible to prove with the records that we'll have left even if they'd consider it a compelling theory.

I think the very fact that the history we are living through can be destroyed with no trace it ever existed among the most terrifying thoughts. It's the destruction of truth itself.

Honestly, that's why it's important to transfer as much of this information to hard copies and physical copies as you can while you still can.

Even if it's just printing screenshots and photos. Preserve physical media and use it as much as possible. Transfer as much digital info to physical as reasonably possible and do your best to ensure it's preserved.

Now I'm imagining some sort of wizened space-future cyberscholar using something like this (but with more chrome on it)
unnamed.jpg

to read collections of old printed out screenshots of tweets.
"Librarian! Fetch me volume 12 of the MovieBob archives!"

/edit: Maybe there'll be space-future historians writing articles about the secret society called "Kiwi Farms" who put their lifes in danger illegally printing out tweets and hiding them in secret vaults to preserve the TRUTH of troon insanity.
The future might not be all chrome, but it might as well be supremely autistic.

Jesus fucking Christ. What's the current country lockdown list now? This is bullshit.
I shan't forgive this unless we're actaully all stuck like this in preparation for aliens or some shit.

Actually makes a lot of sense, kind of like how you wouldn’t want the veal moving around getting all tough and stringy, you just want to keep them confined and ever-fattening. I mean it’s aliens or demons, same energy.

What the fuck is a "COVID sniffing" dog? How the fuck does that work?

I'm guessing it doesn't work, but the optics SOUND good.
Like much of those types of sniffing dogs it probably depends more on the handlers.

'Under The Skin' was predictive programming. First they fatten us up, then they castrate us, then in come the reaper to reap off our heads.

A man chooses, a slave obeys. I have no illusion about the people controlling the demented and degenerating mind contained in Joe Biden's skull, but I will never abide by these horrifying procedures.

Gov. Newsom guides the chain:

A spokesperson from the Governor's Office of Emergency Services sent a statement to ABC7 News saying:

"We see promising signs that California is slowly emerging from the most intense stage of this pandemic. We continue to look at what that means for the Regional Stay at Home order and anticipate that the state Department of Public Health will provide a formal update tomorrow morning."

Read the full letter from the California Restaurant Association below:

"Late this evening, senior officials in the Newsom administration informed us that the Governor will announce tomorrow that the stay-at-home order will be lifted in all regions of the state.

The regions of the state currently under the stay-at-home order are: Bay Area; Southern California; and San Joaquin Valley. Two other regions - Northern California and Sacramento region - are currently not under the stay-at-home order.

Again, a formal announcement is expected tomorrow and we will send you further information as soon as it's available. For now, we thought you'd like to know this good news."

had to go to the animal emergency and vet multiple times these past 6 months.
does every place in North America have retarded policy that you can’t go inside the hospital with your animal and have to wait outside in your car?

I couldn’t get someone to drive me a couple of times, and had to sit outside in the cold, waiting for our turn at emergency clinic, trying to keep my pet warm.
What if I got a fucking pneumonia, would that be better than coof?
Also, many places here don’t allow even their clients to use washrooms, so you can shit outside their door, I guess, that’s safer.

Circus of virus, I’m not entertained anymore.

Last time I went to the vet with my cat, I had to sit outside in my car and watch some poor old woman saying goodbye to her pup in the pouring rain. They wouldn't even let her inside with it for its last moments.

It feels emblematic of this whole charade. It's making people callous and destroying any sense of empathy that might have survived the BLM bullshit and political polarisation we've all experienced over the last couple of years.

In my experience, yes. Though my clinic will allow you in the building to be with your pet as they're euthanized but that's the only exception that I've seen

Apparently, we don't need masks on federal property if we take a quick family photo, including with those not within our own household.

View attachment 1868221

Here is what is going to happen. Someone will violate the mask mandate, probably a private citizen at a National Park or on federal grounds. The person will be fined for a few hundred dollars. The person will challenge the fee in court. The initial court will uphold the ruling and the news media / ass pat chasers will attack the person. The person will pay the fine and court costs.

Another possibility:
Let's say the person is wealthy and retired. The person challenges the law and files an appeal with the circuit court and the government drops the charges. The appeals court decides the matter is moot and dismisses the case.
It's the most obvious thing, but the mask mandate and most rules are for little people, plebs, people below Joseph Robinette.

Australia is sealing itself off for the rest of the year.

The island nations that have managed to eradicate the virus, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, are facing something of a dilemma.

The great hope is vaccination. But as any reputable immunologist will tell you, permanent immunity from Covid is an impossibility. So when they do eventually open there will be outbreaks. They may not be as bad as without a vaccine, but there will be a lot of old and fat people dying with positive PCR tests for Covid. How are their governments planning to deal with this?

If it's true that the vaccines don't work against the South African strain then that's going to make things even more of a clusterfuck. Does the Aussie government tell their people that 'yeah we know we've destroyed our economy and put you through hell with the lockdowns to protect you from the evil coof, but turns out it was all a waste of time and now we're opening up to tourists and immigrants"?

Either they make traveler quarantining a permanent fixture and turn their country into a hermit state or they bite the bullet and let nature take it's course, which it will anyway.

TLDR lockdowns are a waste of time even where they 'succeed'.

I think the governments are going to open up, change the classification of a COVID case to require 2 low cycle PCR tests, and just try to hide what would previously counted as a COVID death.

That no politician or government is basically telling China "you have cost us trillions of damage, we are tearing up any debt we owe you in reparation" is the pathetic part of all this.

even for all the politicians sucking the China teat for years, this is an easy out by pretending to be for the people.
Just wait until they invade Taiwan without fear of Biden's administration. I'm sure they'll get some angry letters with a PS at the bottom saying of course we'll still recognize our debts. Fucking traitors, all of them.

The fact that they aren't even hiding that nothing goes back to normal scares me more than the fucking virus at this point.
I skimmed this article from Natgeo yesterday and it freaked me out
It basically said covid is here to stay-just like the common cold- but with continual vaccines and tracking.
I'm not an anti vaccine tard in most cases, but something about continual must have jabs and keeping track of who you talk to rubs me the wrong way. the sad thing is people are all for it, not everybody for sure. One of the news stories youtube was pushing was the hole vaccine pass port may become a thing, somehing a few months ago was a "conspiracy"

OMG how racist and xenophobic!

I am hoping that the machine does slowly change the zombiefied mind of the masses as it has done many times before. Step 1 in that process should be to calm these fascist fuckers down. And Huffpost is on it:

When you haven’t seen your family, hung out with friends or gone on vacation in the name of pandemic safety, watching other people do the things you so desperately miss can be maddening. You might say it makes you “pangry,” a made-up word for pandemic angry that describes what many of us are feeling right now.

COVID-19 has now killed more than 400,000 Americans and sickened millions more, while putting tremendous strain on our health care workers. Yet many families continue to gather indoors for maskless get-togethers. Celebrities and influencers are still taking group trips to far-away destinations.

If seeing other people defy public health recommendations while you’ve been sitting at home makes your blood boil, first know that your strong feelings are justified and normal.

“Those who are engaging in risky behavior are sending the message that COVID isn’t really their problem, that they don’t see a reason to modify their behavior to mitigate risk,” said Atlanta clinical psychologist Zainab Delawalla. “This is infuriating to people who have been making sacrifices for almost a year, and doing so not just to protect themselves, but also to protect others around them.”

“When you’ve been holding up your end of the bargain, it is enraging to see that others are not doing the same,” Delawalla added.

Below, experts offer some advice on how to cope with the “panger” you might be feeling....

1. You think their behavior is risky, but they may not see it that way.

I can't say for Australia and New Zealand but I think Taiwan will open up once they vaccinate enough people. Because if they turn into a hermit state they would collapse their economy and invite a Chinese invasion, the whole country is run by American bootlickers and would never allow that.

Taking a few steps back or walking away from the maskless person is an option if you want to avoid confrontation. But if you feel compelled to speak up, you could say something like: “I have a son at home with a compromised immune system — would you mind putting your mask on?”

why are you going outside without full protective gear in the middle of the pandemic caused by virus that can kill your son? :'(
so irresponsible to put your son's health in strangers' hands!..
