They get praise for stating on social media that they take estrogen. Likely they don't take much of it. Flooding your system with a hormone imbalance tends to make people feel rather unwell.

its 1000X easier for a man to get estrogen pills than T-pills from a doctor ironically enough. I still remember the early 2000s freak out about steroids and Testosterone and every media person from CEOs to headlining comics understood people not old enough to buy a beer shouldn't be taking hormones.
Every day time talk show had an episode about some parent letting their son start taking some T and becoming jacked at like age 9. And i've seen enough teenage girls in counseling whining about how they hate their hairy face or tiny tits or masculine voice to know a lot of women would have felt more comfortable with a little bit more estrogen in their diet too.
but the troons basically wiped out all popular opinion pre-2012. At least when trannies were freaks you found on /b/ they understood they had to play catch up to the two decades of feminine development cis-women had. the eating disorders, make up routines, skin care, etc.
thats another reason autists become trannies. autists dont have the social intelligence to understand women essentially. an autist could see a woman walking down a city street in a nice dress and make up, and see a happy woman getting attention and validation from every person (male) that they walk past. they wouldn't understand the tens of hours a week that were spent to look that way or the constant attention to detail to make sure their highest valued men would pay attention to them. to an autist it goes "pretty dress" = "happiness & Validation" not "tens of hours of make up knowledge, and dieting, and shopping to find the right size and fit of dress" = "annoying coons and creeps harrassing you while on your way to try and get the people i care about to notice me" so they just decide to troon, put on a dress and don't understand that they might as well be a harliqueen baby for as ugly and nausing they have made themselves.
it also doesn't help that women are putting less and less care into themselves as well. body positivity has really fucked all genders. Having said that the ones ones that seem to understand what transitioning means seems to be FTMs, they put more work into going to the gym than most cis-men, you (meaning I) dont see some slampig shave their hair and go "i'm a dude now" they usually put the work in and start the hormones and end up looking and acting exactly like what one expects a tiny cis-man would look and act like.

I don't believe there is a direct link to being transgender and also being on the spectrum. That said, I do think the level of devotion some people have for their gender identities (including Jim) can be impacted by the "special interests" aspect of autism.
In other words, it doesn't cause people to transition, but it can cause them to place their transition on a pedestal.
Eh, sounds like a coincidence, or amusingly bad timing.

I don't mind legit trans people and am quite sympathic , but gender queer shit like jim I pretty much dismiss out of hand. Like your friends I use the pronouns because its conveniant for me to do so and I gain nothing from opposition. But that's the real catch these idiots don't get is it isnt acknowlaguement or respect when most people use your pronouns what you're actually encountering is apathy, which considering Jims childhood makes it a genuine tragedy.

There's obviously a huge link between gender dysphoria and autism.
Really fascinating video that goes into a lot of stuff. But the main thing is lot of autism specialists are the ones to recommend young kids start taking HRT. The blight often starts with them.

God, it's so weird seeing him like this. Last I ever paid attention to Jim was during the podtoid days, so I haven't really heard much about him since 2013 or 14. This is like going back to someone you kinda knew in high school as the fun class clown, only to see that he has turned into an amorphous genderblob. This is pure, unadulterated sad cringe, at least for me.
Jim is only short for the first name James, not the surname. Letting the people in his life continue to call him "Jim" takes less effort than trying to get them to adapt to a new name.
