I'm of the opinion that it isn't really an obsession so much anymore, but an ascended meme. Personally, I feel the whole arc and drama was kind of blown out of proportion based on all of the narratives surrounding it. Sure, she had that whole crying breakdown but that might be due to combine circumstances, and of all of those I think the least likely is 'struggling sexuality.' (She seems pretty clear and open about the intricacies of her bisexuality). I'd wager that she probably was rejected due to misunderstanding the situation, felt a bit shitty about it, and was racked by embarrassment when Hoshikawa joked about it on stream. Now, she (Hoshikawa), could have done so in good nature. But Matsuri is a girl, and more importantly she used to be heavy. Young women don't take rejection, embarrassment, and humiliation very well. Someone who used to be heavy, more than likely the subject to a lot of jokes and insults, etc. . . would definitely not be having a good day after seeing the girl who just rejected her embarrassing her. But it seems she did grow past it personally, but I don't think the narratives did for a while.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the girl just got plain fed up with all of the extra drama on the situation after she hashed it out with Hoshikawa (I believe they are actually on good terms now), and just plays all of this up as a personal joke to spite the narratives themselves. My biggest evidence is the whole Luna thing, which is definitely narrative bait. The publicity of it, the karaoke dedication scandal and all that just seems like a troll to me.

Gundou also thirsts for Hoshikawa quite a bit, but deals with her much better than Matsuri, Maybe Hoshikawa's roommate is hot, I don't really see much of the Nijisanji roommates or actively search for them at least. but she seems to get a lot of attention and she sort of owns it.

Pretty sure. There is a sampling of almost everyone's face earlier in this thread, and she was blonde. Might not be confirmed, but there it is.

Edit: Found it, page 57. I'm pretty sure some of these were either disproven or up for debate. Also, I think that is Hoshikawa at the bottom, but I'm not really a follower so I don't know. But she has the blonde hair and tails.

She's Half-British according to herself. And speaks it to a basic extent. I think she said something about moving to Japan when she was 8 or so.

And I mean, Matsuri is pretty attractive herself. I'm sure she'd have the pick of the litter if she wasn't hung up over Hoshikawa. (And I don't disagree that they're still really good friends, it's not exactly mutually exclusive)

Does anyone know why Ars Almal took a break for a week or so? I skimmed through her twitter, but couldn't find anything regarding the matter. Considering how russian prescence in her chat died out I would think it was so all newcomers would leave her alone and stop spamming but I was wondering if anyone knows for sure.

Nah, that's not Hoshikawa Sara, that's a whole different Nijisanji vtuber called Takamiya Rion.

I'm unsure if Hoshikawa's face was ever leaked, but I did hear that upon her debut, she was given shit for being a hafu. Though I can't really confirm that myself.

If I remember correctly Cover did say they wanted to slow down to expand stuff like office staff and build a better foundation to protect their talents from harassment after Aloe. So while I would normally agree with a gen 6 coming soon, this time, I’m not positive. Things can always change though.

I mean, is there any reason to ever stop debuting new talents? Even if you run into the problem of new talents "cannibalizing" the audience of established ones, is that much of an issue? All of those viewers are still watching and contributing to the success of your brand. I'm pretty sure that Hololive can be considered an idol group due mostly to management structure.

From what I understand about these larger groups with 20+ members active at any given time is that the group intentionally debut lots of talents for two big reasons. The first being to get talents to fill as many niches as possible to appeal to the widest audience possible. The second is to find a "break-out star" of sorts. By that, I mean if one of the new talents you debut ends up garnering a large amount of mainstream success, then that success not only brings the company a lot of money and attention, but it also subsidizes the career of both the less successful talents and the premiering of new talents. Thus, I don't see any reason to ever stop debuting talents.

Mio from second set looks exactly how I'd imagine her. Most surprising gap for me is Mirai Akari, her character seems so much more bold and confidant than that girl. Class rep really surprised me for a moment when I first saw her in gremlin form, but she really is a gremlin. Also, I know it is her, but that picture of Ai looks nothing like any other photo or video I've seen of her.

Ah yes, about Moona, I heard some rumblings recently about her old singing/dancing group being pretty angry about the doxx faggots and their comments. Something about their actions are already at the point of harassment
Also, this Polka V2 seems like he's very hellbent on this doxxing spree without caring about the consequences of any of his actions. As people have said before, this matter need to be watched carefully. Not for him, but the others around him unhinged enough to do some shit like the Gura stalking

Her English is actually very good, the part about her living in England then moving to Japan is probably true. I always just thought that was part of her character lore.

This is what I've been thinking to cause I swear to god, I saw her old videos and her English sounded fine then. Yeah either it's gotten worse or she's playing it up. If it's the latter, she's a damn good actress cause to me, she genuinely sounds like a beginner at English.

Yeah after reading how Matsuri was made fun of after the date on stream, I would personally be hurt by it. But hey, if it's water under the bridge for them then it's fine.

Also Rushia's on break too? Not familiar with her release schedule but seems like she hasn't streamed (or Tweeted) since that SC reading incident where she ended the stream prematurely?
