Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

They aren’t doing CPR, the baby is on a ventilator ffs. She’d have been dead a long time ago if she relied on manual CPR to bring her back.

Reading more about it it seems sometimes they have to manually inflate her damaged lungs and if they didn’t she would die. So it seems whatever they are doing involves ensuring the ventilator keeps functioning. I was wondering if they were having to suction in some way to keep her from suffocating.

However, people can absolutely do a shit job of CPR if they don’t actually want to assist someone in cardiac arrest. In fact plenty of ppl just manage to break ribs doing shitty CPR rather than help expel air from the lungs. An experienced nurse could certainly pantomime a valiant CPR attempt if they wanted to and felt it was helping end the torture of someone.

Ok yes, you are right. I associate heart issues typically with cardiac arrest. Yes, it does seem she desats badly and the lungs need to be reinflated.

I wish the mom would get a dnr and let the poor thing pass.

Can I just say I love it when we Kiwis disagree, hash it & remain civil?

That is because I am a rational adult and can admit when I’m wrong.

but to bring it back on topic, I was reading an article about Tinslee, and she is going on 2 but only has one or two teeth which is really abnormal. She isn’t physically developing properly. Compared to older pics, her recent one has her looking very swollen/bloated. I didn’t want to use the word chubby, but that is what I wanted to say originally. I am not sure of this is some kind edema or what.

I understand the mom doesnt want to lose her child. No parent wants that, but Tinslee is sedated round the clock, and no other hospital or facility wants her and yet the mom seems nothing wrong with that?

Keeps track of EVERY course case and ruling and posts the pdfs.
On a less drastic note, there's a family in my town whose daughter is in high school, and EVERY YEAR, they sue the school to have her included in the gifted program, even though the school has said that even though she is intelligent, she isn't qualified. The money would probably be better spent on a psychiatrist for the kid, because you know she's going to have lifelong issues from this.

Does Luna have any consciousness? Like can she feel the spoon and food on her face? It's really not clear from what her mom Robyn says.

No way to know her level of consciousness, but there is no reason to beleive her nerves do not work. She used to be on pain meds and seizure meds until mommy decided that reiki and "angel healing" were better.

That is so cruel. But so is Luna's existence. Btw theres a doc called Rooting For Roona, the Indian Luna. Not going to spoil it, it is worth the watch.

Yes but at least in that case it was not due to malefience. The family truly due to their upbringing and caste in life had no way of affording or even fulling knowing their daughters condition. Sadly that child did die but they were able to give her a little bit of quality. In earlier posts here I put pictures of the before and after of Roona sad case, but at least those parents wanted the best for their child, but religion etc overuled some of it. Theres been a few cases of that from india where children were disabled nad thought of as dieties or reincarnations and that led ot them not getting help needed.

Pediatric Glasgow Coma Scale

VerbalNo verbal responseInconsolable, agitatedInconsistently inconsolable, moaningCries but consolable, inappropriate interactionsSmiles, orients to sounds, follows objects, interactsN/A

GCS 7.

For fuck's sake, let that poor baby go.

** Decerebrate posturing indicates brain stem damage, specifically damage below the level of the red nucleus (e.g. mid-collicular lesion). It is exhibited by people with lesions or compression in the midbrain and lesions in the cerebellum.

Considering the amount of swelling I'm unsure her eyes can be closed. They have never posted a picture of her with her eyes even close to closed even in videos.

Oh fucking hell I didn't even think of that. And her eyes are always downcast, like when one's eyes are closed....

Is it wrong to pray for the death of a baby? Because I really really want to...

"According to independent t-test, there is a statistically significant relationship between Glasgow Coma Scale and hydrocephalus (P=0.03)" Worse the hydrocephalus the lower the score the P means that there was a 99.97% this was NOT due to chance.

Here is the scale with modifications for toddlers/infants:
Due to lack of ability to close eyes it is hard to score her on that I dont beleive we have ever seen her make meaningful eye contact.
Eye opening : 1
Motor Response : 3
Verbal Response : 2 (Anything videoed to show her agitated has been grunts and not normal crys for direct means)
Total : 6

Categorization:
Best Score : 15
Coma: No eye opening, no ability to follow commands, no word verbalizations (3-8) ********
Unresponsive : 3 or below

Brain Injury Classification:
Minor Brain Injury----GCS score of 13 to 15
Moderate Brain Injury----GCS score of 9 to 12
Severe Brain Injury----GCS score of 3 to 8 *********
Profound Brain InJURY----GCS score of 3 or lower

You're right, she's decorticate, not decerebrate. The hand flexion is the same in both, but she doesn't keep her arms down with extended elbows. And her feet don't really give any clues. I'd be surprised if she can really move them at all.

Either way, she's got an incurable brain injury and what her parents are doing to her is incredibly cruel.

On the plus side if shes that far into a coma its possible that shes completely unaware of her painful existence. The posturing alone is pretty good proof that her brain is probly already swiss cheesed from her disorder.

Wonder if the one prop will be shoved aside when she gets a new one.

Is it even possible for her to hold up her head on her own? Can her spine/neck even support it? I cannot imagine how much her head weighs, poor thing...
You'd be surprised the insanity the body can do (arthrogryposis multiplex congenita):

In vids you can see the eye movement not being directed and that shes not partcipating at all in "playtime":

Wtf is that second picture? "Hehe, here's Luna making a mess with her spoon like a normal child! Ignore the blatantly visible hand lifting her arm up to gouge the spoon into her cheek, my child is normal!"

Didn't Luna react when her mom tried to shove watermelon and pickles in her mouth? I feel like she's probably got at least basic awareness. Which is bad because then she can probably feel pain :(

I feel like Tinslee and Luna are great examples of why the UK pulling the plug on Alfie Evans was a good thing. It sounds like if Tinslee was in the UK the hospital could pull the plug without nearly as much hassle (especially since the medical staff all agree she's suffering horribly and that it's barbaric and cruel to prolong it).

Not sure about conscience, but she is at least bodily aware. There was a video not long ago of her mother trying to feed her a slice of pickle, and Luna reacted by slightly pulling away and making a face. The fact that she was able to try and move away from unpleasant sensory input is enough to make me think she does feel pain, even if she is unable to understand why.

It's haunting. It also makes me wonder if there's just enough up there in her brain for her to have likes and dislikes, (or if it was just a physical recoil to strong smelling stimuli, which kids have naturally) which would add another layer of horrifying onto the mix, since that DOES signal a form of consciousness.
