Reminds me of some stupid study or whatever that came out and the survey results showed that most people wouldn't date a trans person and the ones that WOULD date a trans person would only date one of a "gender" that apparently contradicted their sexuality (i.e., some lesbians said that would date trans men). The authors were all like "omg, how could this be?! this is so contradictory and troonphobic!" apparently completely forgetting that humans exist in sexed bodies and that sexual orientation could have anything to do with that.

That's a good point. Somebody mad enough to send Rhys a letter would not believe in multiple gender identities. Also, if someone was mad enough to sit down and actually type up a letter to the Prof, then where is the hate? It even says he “may” have had an unfair advantage in sports (a remarkably even-handed stance for hate mail, amiright?). There’s no name-calling or insulting of his appearance, all things I would expect to see in a genuine hate letter.

The recent sperging from Rhys and Kate Strangio got me thinking about the Equal Rights Amendment. It was first introduced in 1972 and is still an ongoing battle. It basically states,

The ERA movement has been going on for over 50 years and so far appears to be untouched by troons. I wonder what will happen when they inevitably get their man hands on it? Will it move things forward? Will it peak trans the entire population?

From what I've read, the ERA only needs a few more states to be ratified, and it was granted an extension to gather more votes.
But if the wording is changed, like replacing sex with gender, it has to start all over from scratch.

So troons I would think would want to keep this from continuing down the road to becoming an amendment.

I take your point but I don’t believe anyone would bother to send an old fashioned and anonymous letter without making some genuine statements about why they felt the need to do so.

That letter was so gentle that if there was a genuine author they could have given their name.

No. There was a window for it to be ratified that has long since passed, e ven with the extension. A couple states "symbolically" ratified fairly recently because they know it's dead.
