Yeah. I never got that. I'd say it's probably one of those "reality porn" things that became a thing in the 2000's where you had some kind of gimmick. IIRC, that whole trend came about as a way to both cash in on reality TV and to modernize the old "pool boys and pizza men" trope from the 80's and 90's.
