[*]They do release a new version in 2024 like
@anti SJW said, but it'll be the Warhammer/iPhone model of barely perceptible incremental upgrades every couple of years so they have an excuse to resell the setting books over and over again. I'm not sure if they'd wipe DnD Beyond. I've heard they did that with the move from 4th to 5th, but if that's true, I can't imagine them getting away with that now.
probably this, 6e will be not be even be 5.5e at best but just 5e with all the changes put into new core books to ride the new version and it's anniversary for sales. least amount of effort for maximum shekels. at best some superficial changes to have a better excuse but amounts to nothing more than houserules.
EDIT: although, 2024 is still a while away, who knows what the economy looks like then.
Paizo is just as woke and retarded as Wotc.
current wotc? not even close. there was hardly any shit in pf2, and they dialed even that back from the public test (which people still meme about). nerfing seoni's outfit was completely unnecessary, but eh, it's current year.
rumor has it they canned all their woketards a while back, but never found concrete proof that and I'm not familiar with them that close to know the names and what to look for. otoh they were quite eager to work with the wheelchair chick, but that might've just been some twittertard for PR, we'll see if she ever gets writing credit somewhere and what she shits out (apparently even leigh "I am games journalism" alexander can deliver acceptable work if she isn't up her own ass)
the other difference is that, at least from my impression, is that paizo has actual fans that like the company, what they put out, and how they operate. meanwhile you got wotc whose whole presentation down to the website is as soulless and corporate as it gets (do they even still have forums?) with a horde of soibugs only liking dnd for it's popularity and brand name. same reason all the woketards latch unto it, since there's no point subverting anyone besides the biggest target.
