I feel that. She's one of my favorites but is also content with not learning or speaking English at all. Fair enough, now that there is Ina.

I wonder about Korone's age. My Japanese is pretty basic, but it looked to me like she was asking for help from chat a lot, it seemed like the first time she was playing it. I find it hard to believe that someone into games and over 30 would be playing SMW for the first time today, especially in Japan. It seems it was also her first time playing Sonic when she did it recently. It could be she didn't use to play games as a kid, but even then, it's SMW. That game was huge.

Okayu is the reverse Korone, both specialize in old ass games (she is playing Mother 3 right now to the chagrin of western nintendo fags) but in personality Okayu barely scream and her streams are uber shill, while Korone can pass 12 hours screaming her lungs out just to take a rest of 15 minutes then pass another 12 hours screaming, the problem is that she has a weird rule for being low profile in Hololive, i mean you hear about Coco, Rushia,Korone,Pekora and Gura every single day but Okayu is on the same bag as Luna, Sensei, Mel and Roboco, unless you are really getting into the hole you would barely knew she was Hololive

The hilarious part is that people has opened a lot to her and she is now in 800k subs all of this by being the ninja mastermind of Gamers

(I'm still making my machiavelic plan to make one of them play Ultima Underworld)

Edit: there is a huge untapped market in DOS games now that i remember, is there a VTuber that play old shit like i dont know Space quest?

Korone in my book was probably a Nintendo 64 kids, but she KNOWS about hardcore retro stuff she is or a) a nerd that know about those stuff by proxy aka other person or b) a retro fag that like so see shit like My life on gaming and read HG101 religiously, i mean games like Wings of Worz or Last Armaggedon are not exactly mainstream

Someone somewhere exposed her to games that predate when she got into them; far as I remember she has multiples of many different consoles, something crazy like 3 Dreamcasts or some shit. I forget but someone clipped her talking about how many consoles she owns, and she's a full on retro collector.

As expected from my favorite, pretty sure she doesn't need gay stuff like Retrostation, true hardware unless borked, i mean the best port of Sonic is on Switch and she played it on Original hardware, she still need to think on investing in a specialized capture card like the RetroTINK

She is a woman and video games are for boys. Even if she was around at the time she might not have appreciated it because gaming was an icky boy's hobby. But I do agree with @Cubanodun in that she is probably a younger millennial, who knows about old games but was too young or not around to play them when they were new.

Yeah im not the only one who noticed, but she at least she made her homework not like certain unfunny twats and dont want to sound like a smartass but her way to play is blatantly millenial (she assume that old games have perks of new games only to be notified that continues and lives are a thing)

Every time I’ve seen him in comments and stuff he seems like he‘s respectful and glad that Okayu appreciates his work, but not like he’s trying to be friends or anything.

As I understand it, DOS era PC gaming never really caught on in Japan, andthe closest they ever got was stuff like the PC-98, which is more like an Amiga I believe.

That's why i say, untapped market that a westaboo like Korone could go very hard, who know maybe she popularize GOG on japan and we get MSX and other japanese games in there

Somewhere in some video's (couldn't be more vague if I wanted to) comment section was a theory on Korone that most of the oldies that she plays seemingly for the first time was actually not true and she is just replaying them as a new character.
Timeframe was around when some people complained about her doing a video on Dragon's Lair playthrough without save states.

Might add that those bringing the said theory said it's all coming from 2ch which was all in moon obv.

I checked out Coco's ASMR stream from earlier today and had to turn it off LOL. I was honestly disappointed, as she did an ASMR stream previously, maybe like 6 months ago or so, and it was pretty nice. This one from today was way more bumblefuck. At least Mel clocked in a 3-hour ASMR stream today too, so I can chill w/ that later.

I have no idea if that's a certain "style" in Japan, as I know basically zilch about their clothing habits outside of traditional garb, but it's uncanny. Also, yes, she's ridiculously cute. Those natural sad-eyes, holy shit.

Definitely agree w/ all this, but the funny part to me is the amount of Korone fans I know who don't even know Okayu exists. Like there's being casual and then there's being casual, as in not knowing about the single best non-romantic ship in all of Vtuberdom that your supposed oshi is one half of. But, to be fair, they haven't done any Okakoro content in a good while. About a week ago Korone said something about how she really wants to see Okayu IRL but they can't because of "that thing" (COVID, I assume). I wonder why one or both of them were/are locked down.

He's not even close to an obsessed wackjob like Lyger, but Jin will now always and forever rub me the wrong way after that stunt he pulled on Reddit with calling out every other translator (including very well-respected ones like Tengoku) and saying they were trash and he could run circles around them. There were definitely more tactful ways to handle that, and I guarantee he made some enemies of the other clipper/translator channels/groups from that shenanigan.

completely offtopic but the best ports of Sonic 1 and 2 (the whitehead mobile ports with saving and widescreen) are now ported to PC. Funnily enough this released literally a day after her Sonic 2 playthrough.

Myst would be a trip but i forgot who has the rights, Monkey island would be iffy because the house of the mouse is not exactly lenient with permits, Ultima and Command and conquer are EA and they already have permits there (Battlefield 5 is EA), Ultima would not be much of a problem because they had ports for their computers and are a vast improvement from the USA version, Commander Keen and Jill of the jungle are a given because they already have Bethesda permits

So when does she get to the Build engine games, like Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Redneck Rampage?

Or she could go classic Apogee DOS era and do Duke 1 and 2, Bio Menace, Blake Stone, Crystal Caves, and Rise of the Triad.
