No one gives a shit about the law anymore. the wall street fat cats burned it. Too bad its a two way street now

Yes, please destroy faith in the system of law even further, Wall Street. I am certain that undermining the foundation of a peaceful and ordered society could have zero consequences long term for you. Go on, cut off every avenue for the common man so that they have no options for peace and progress.

This can only end well.

Even selling your stock for you is covered in the TOS. It's going to be hard as fuck fighting this in court.
Terms of service are not a get out a jail free card. This has been demonstrated in court time and time again.

Now, the question becomes will courts enforce the law fairly, and I think the answer is clearly no.

Class action lawsuit will get a slap-fine, and Citadel will give Robinhood double that. But the damage to their brand and pissed off users won't go away.
They've burned their platform to the ground to protect a few hedge funds.

Can anyone educated about the subject tell me would it be possible for the government to print money to bail out funds, corporations and banks if the situation happened on a much larger scale?

Don't all these instant access no commission trading apps have stuff in their T&C that allow them to pull this shit to reduce their losses?

I use these apps too and I always thought this was the "catch" but I'd live with it until I'm experienced enough to bother opening a direct brokerage account.

I don't think there's a case against them. They used to pull this move all the time with crypto when crypto trading was allowed.

Considering the United States government can print money at will and simply punt the foot ball so to speak, they'd do it again. The bigger problem would be if faith in the institutions were shaken to the point even other countries don't want to do business with you.
