Its not even February yet.

Also, take note of that sidebar saying Robinhood is drawing on their credit lines. That's a major sign that they're in "oh fuck" mode.

Yep, was about to call that out. I'm doubling down on my theory that they have been taking the other side of trades against their customers.

When this is all over, someone is going to have to do a technical deep dive into the clearing desks, where the orders are physically completed. Multiple brokerages have been acting like they are getting battered at that level.

I bet there's been a novel "enhancement" growing there for a few years. Something that lowered costs and let trading desks create platforms cheaper than ever, including RH. And I bet there's a quirk buried in its assumptions, something that nobody worries about until an "impossible to happen" level is breached external to the desk.

I think I was wrong. One or two million immigrants they could handle but they're already nearing 4 million. It's only a matter of time before the more psychotic powermods and professional karma whores try something to extend their influence and lower the bar to entry.
Luckily they've already established some reliable thoughtleaders that people can look to as a guiding star. Assuming those OGs don't get corrupted or banned or whatever.

The big thing they're in danger of is becoming cringe and infested with other reddit. Using GamerGate as a previous example, expect grifters and people that say shit like "This movement should really be about [insert joke distraction here]".

Luckily these guys are mostly 4chan/GG vets and have been through enough meme wars to brush it off, but an influx of newbie retards could sink and fracture it.

So, I'm seeing reports that Robinhood has sold people's GME stocks without their consent, I assume that's just someone trolling cause that would be fucking whack.

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, users might have agreed to a TOS that allows for that: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/r-wsb...nvolved-as-always.83987/page-102#post-8225115

Now, will this hold up in court? Maybe, maybe not, we'll find out in due time I'm sure.

I think they have a very strong advantage, that being that the profit motive is already an inherent factor, grifters have to compete with people who are FAR more competent at making money and are ingrained in a community based on the concept. Ensuring mod purity is the priority.
