I'll maintain that his crush and relentless simping for Shoe0nHead has a lot to do with him abandoning the enlightened centrism. His near daily replies to her and identical Tweets minutes after hers with a victimized fat man twist certainly come from a place of him wanting to be accepted. It's only natural with everyone on lockdown and last year's election that perhaps he was eyeing the popularity of that online lefty crowd and finally got bored of sitting on the fence. He's been on the front page of /r/enlightenedcentrism more than anyone else, I'm sure it eventually wasn't just a meme anymore and actually got under his skin (somehow).
