For those of you who don’t know, Godless Cranium is an atheist youtuber who’s already been covered a couple of times in the Euphoric Atheists thread. He’s also (surprise, surprise) a massive social justice twat who probably deserves his own thread.

The Transformers movies & Emoji movie also made big money! They must good films too!

As for the guy commenting below in the first pic (and to powerlevel a bit), I actually had a little chat with this exact same individual on the subject of left-wing censorship of sexiness. And while he was civil to me (and didn’t call me a Nazi or anything like), my god he was dense as fuck. Constantly downplaying or even outright denying the problem even when I provided clear-cut examples to show the modern woke left is about as sex-positive as most socialist governments are socialist.

He himself had this to say about Nu-Ra.

Umm? Is he talking about the same show?

While other shows get this accusation thrown at them when it isn't really true, I genuinely think Nu-Ra will only be remembered for its protagonist getting together with the villain. Otherwise it's just a basic fantasy series. Bland and inoffensive.

I'm still a bit miffed that they didn't have the Horde Kids decide to fake their deaths and defect in that episode where they're stuck in the Whispering Woods. It would have made so much more sense for them to break free at that moment. It'd also allow us some fun possibilities to see them just doing their own thing- I can't see them joining the Rebellion, honestly, but I could definitely see them operating as a neutral third party out to protect themselves first and foremost. Just imagine having a little subplot of these three rolling around Etheria, living out of their transport vehicle and getting into their own adventures and dodging both Horde and Rebellion forces. That could have been so fun and could have fleshed their characters out so much!

This entire series is just wasted potential, I swear.

Really late reply but I can at least tolerate the old She Ra simply for being transparent; it’s a 80s cartoon, what you see is what you get.

The reboot tries to pass itself as if it were something deeper despite not having the writing to back it up.

The world is also kind of nothing so you don't really feel the stakes. Just basic fantasy shit.

To further defend the 80s version, the original cartoon is unmistakably made for kids. Adults are not the intended audience, and the show is made accordingly for its target.

The new show feels like weird sex fan fiction for Tumblr weirdos that is disguised as a kids show...which fits in with how almost everything is these days.
