Their one chance is to convince people that Reddit is hurting other people's retirements. Even if it's not true, to at least convince people of it.

A lot of people have had their careers ruined by covid or their businesses burned down by BLM. They just want to keep the lights on in their house. Retirement is the furthest thing from their minds right now.

The second you try to explain to those people what short selling is, they will say "How the fuck is that legal?" and "Put a stake through the hearts of those vampires who leveraged people's IRAs against borrowed stocks."

You guys are still under the impression that the government plays fair and justice is mana that just falls from the heavens.

Every middleman in government all the way to the top are compromised.

They'll go after these guys with SEC fines until they're broken, and criminal crimes will be invented not found. Good 'ole peter strzok wife's will be the one that signs the orders, btw.
Media will dox and then smear them as nazis to the point where antifa will threaten jurors if they don't convict.
They'll lose their jobs and have their families harrassed.
They'll be de-platformed from the internet, so they wont' be able to mount any defense against personal attacks.
Glow-in-the-darks will cause 'mysterious car accidents'.

And if you think none of that is possible, think about what they allowed antifa to do vs capital hill protestors.
Disagree. Just about everyone except government and elite boot lickers seems to be loving this.

They can only convince themselves, the people know, ask anyone at anytime before this and after this they know, the people have always known, who holds the money is the people who keep us this way, there's no way they can spin this one, specially now that Trump is gone

"Why are you doing this?!"

"We hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"Is it because you're uninformed? Misinformed? Disinformed?"

"It's because we hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"Is it Trump? Q?"

"It's because we hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"Irrational exuberance?"

"It's because we hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"Is your manbaby incel whiteness making you do this?"

"It's because we hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"Is it Vladimir Putin? IT'S PUTIN ISN'T IT?!"

"It's because we hate you because you're pieces of shit."

"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!?!?!?!?!"

You can hear them cry "TRUMP IS GONE, WHY ARE THINGS LIKE THESE STILL HAPENING" completely oblivious as to why Trump happened in the first place

Now, brokers are imposing restrictions on the fly, drawing huge backlash from traders who are crying foul and spreading unsubstantiated theories about nefarious corporate motives.

"To me, what is truly problematic about this is the regulators' flat-footedness," said Gina-Gail Fletcher, a Duke law professor who specializes in market regulation. "Right now, the integrity of the market is at issue," she added.
The squealing of cornered rats.
