This thread has escalated really quickly, stop the train, I want off.

No, really, it's amusing how things can go so fast from "lol he's weird" to "WTF is wrong with this guy". Can't really say I'm glad he came here so we can discover him, but I neither feel sorry for it happening.

Welcome to train land. He thought he was being sneaky, and setting a "trap" for Shaner, not realizing that... well, we kinda already trapped him. Turns out I've actually met this kid a couple times, when I was running a survey for some bridge repairs on the Lackawanna. He FUCKING HATES SHANER, Shaner treated him like shit a number of times, and actually impersonated him twice, leading to a lot of unnecessary drama in his life. He's a weird kid, like most RR people, but harmless, and unlike most foamers (he isn't really a foamer, more of a railfan, so I'll retract calling him that) he is respectful of the crews, and boundaries when he is out doing his thing. As far as his online life, I have no idea, and don't want to know. Just my two cents.

@AnOminous I don't even operate trains and the hard core train spergs drive me nuts. Imagine you're out running a survey to estimate a job, and you have a guy offering up his opinions on how the line ought to be repaired, and how that bridge is fine, they don't need to spend money on it, and my all time favorite, "What they need to do is get a steam engine here, that's what they should spend their money on!"

I'm just a fucking ENGINEER THAT DOESN'T DRIVE TRAINS!!! All I want to do is run my survey, figure out what it's going to cost and fucking leave! Welcome to my world.

pretty sure he's in his late 30s so closer to Shaner than a kid

He's not nearly as bad as Shaner but he still deserves his own thread. *sigh* If this keeps up we'll need a new subforum for all these foamers. (and @Walking Stomach)

I have no idea how old he is, my interactions with him were short at best. Again, a weird dude, but he left me and my guys alone after asking permission to ask us a question about what we were doing.

Edit: He continued to be decent whenever he encountered us when we were up there. That counts for a lot with me. Foamers are intolerable.

Then he goes and tries to impersonate Len over on that thread. His spelling and grammar were shit enough for a couple of us to believe it too.

@WireSponge yeah, I suppose there will be a foamer sub here eventually, they kind of all operate the same way, it's a little scary, like a fucked up hive mind or something. As far as this kid/guy is concerned, once I figured out who he was, I really don't want to see him torn up like Shaner. Maybe he'll take the correct path and just fade away.

@BritBong he had me convinced. Shaner impersonated him a number of times, I guess he can impersonate Shaner too.
