Agreed. I think one of the differences is with Assigned Male, the characters have acted outside their age so often that, even despite them looking 12, it's hard to seriously think of them as that age. Or, more specifically, they acted way older than they are, having conversations and saying things no 12 year old ever would. I do think there was, and I use this term very loosely, a personality shift with some of the characters, with Ciel going full special needs retard similar to goat person, but because there's all those other comics where he was being used as the mouth piece for a 30+ year old man in a dress, it's already impossible to take him seriously as a character.

But with goat kid, from day 1 he's been portrayed as full on tard. And not just autistic, where he can still at least try to function in the normal world, but more "this dude will need a guardian for the rest of his life and live solely on government checks because they aren't even able to get a job as a WalMart greeter."

There's also the way cat thing is written. He's, ironically, treated as the straight man. A classic staple in a lot of comedies, but in this weird ass fetish comic, it comes off as creepy. It doesn't seem like cat dude is ever really charmed by goat's antics, it's more like he tolerates them because all he cares about is his physical attraction to someone who, at best, has a toddler's mental capacity. And, because Labelle cannot write normal high school aged characters, he tends to come off as more of an adult than a highschooler. Not that it would be much better if he was a teen, but it really amps up the creepiness factor in an already predatory situation.

Assigned Male can either be "so bad, it's funny to mock" or "so bad, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever." There are usually some creepy undertones, but that has more to do with Labelle just naturally being a creep. The furry comic, to me at least, is just so creepy it's hard to really mock. I think it's more perverted than the actual porn comic Labelle is doing. The fact that he's doing both adds to that creepy factor, because it clearly shows that he's more into doing fetish stuff these days, so it really shows where his mind is at with the furry comic. Another difference is, AM has a problem being overly wordy to the point you don't want to read it. Furry comic is more simplistic, so you linger on what few dialogue there is, which is just usually showing goat boy has the mind of a toddler, and you can focus on the horrendous artwork more, which again mostly highlights that goat boy is a tard. If it turns out I'm on some kind of government watchlist, I'm 100% positive it's because I've seen these comics.
