I had that discussion with other people before, the outcome was that we should make a Comicsgate Index.
Similar to the Weeb Wars Index.
But like all things we do, it takes time, so we haven't had the time yet to do it.

A CG Index would be a massive undertaking and exactly what you'd want in it to help users get info is crucial.
This includes combing through this thread for doxes and articles (and archives), a directory of the lolcow threads and a list of users directly involved (this is easily found), maybe a list of the court documents of lawsuit involving the figures involved (Meyer v. Waid being the most notable), and a list of crowdfunded projects by CG (and their opponents - Anti-CG or CG apostates) and the sums they raised) are the things that come to mind. This is all 2 years worth of material to pull together and anyone doing this does not have the benefit building this in a CG subforum, sadly.

It'd be great if at some point even one person would come to the conclusion of "wow there are a lot of interesting comics out there and I like to read comics, maybe I'll just turn off Twitter dot com because that seems to be the source of my raeg" instead of "I got mad on Twitter dot com and therefore it must be comics fault! Back to Twitter to get dopamine hits about being outraged about something else!"

1. i don't use twitter cause i'm not a faggot so that has nothing to do with this. literally all my comicsgate info comes from here. (as i gave up on most of youtube sans Ethan and Zack almost a year ago when I started working early mornings and couldn't stay up for all the late night livestreams)

TenNapel and Smiller's channels both got reinstated for 24 hours, and then were promptly struck again.
Mike's channel, for "Bullying and Harassment." All he does is talk about Jesus, Trump and Bitcoin.
So they're both down for another two weeks. Doug got over 2 million views today, but didn't get any subscriber growth, which makes no sense.

I actually made a check on Richard for the first time in weeks. He's still alive, still reviewing new comics albeit at a lower rate. He's even branched into Star Wars some.
Comicsgate seems have found its equilibrium. How long can that last? Only Jaysus knows.

I'm not sure there's profit. YouTube is mass-deleting their videos. Do they still get the ad revenue? I honestly don't know. I've never had that happen to me.
Doug says he has two Community Guidelines strikes. That means he can't stream for a three months, and can't put up content for two weeks. If he receives one more strike between now and (according to him) April 20th, his channel gets deleted.
It seems pretty likely his channel is going to get deleted.
If he does manage to get control of his channel again, he should accept the fact that he's got a huge audience already and become daily anti-Democrat, Christian Rush Limbaugh-style content, and just let that shit ride. He'll still get 6 figure views on his videos, and he'll get to keep going.
Slow and steady, keep producing pop culture videos, get more subscribers. I'm at 145K now, up from 130K in November. It'd be great to find that algorithm story that jumps me ahead ten thousand subs at once, but ultimately, everything seems risky right now. I talked to Zack...he just thinks nobody gives a fuck about comics anymore. The whole industry is dead.
The industry being dead is, in itself, a great clickbait subject, though.

Doug should just stop the trumpbait videos and convert the audience to be customers. No point in losing your channel for another "ArIZoNa FiGhTs FoR TrUmP" video. Like how many "insert here fights/flips for Trump" videos will he make before his channel gets yeeted.

It seems like Youtube wants to use right-wing culture warrior Youtubers in the same way that the British royalty used pirates to plunder Spanish ships returning from the New World. Basically, they're like 'Thanks for taking on the risk and bringing us this treasure, but here, go to jail, and we might have to sweep you away completely soon, to keep our own hands clean of the matter.'
On Youtube, you essentially work as an undocumented-Mexican-style hired-hand employee of Susan Woj-her-name. She can't come up with any useful content herself, and so instead the fat sow must rely on all her little Youtube piglets to do the useful content creation for her.
'Useful' here means getting eyeballs onto videos, so that ads can be injected into said eyeballs. Not truth or beauty or anything like that - Youtube has an aggressively laissez-faire attitude to any form of content curation or quality control. Youtube would still be all nazis and gangbangers and terrorists, if it wasn't for the legacy media chasing their ass down for anything they can find, because Youtube threatens the legacy media's own bloated ad revenues.
Anyway, this clever system means she can pocket expanded advertising revenues thanks to the simplefolk of the right, who hate her guts but continue to use her app/website.
And the system keeps working. As long as she kicks down enough crumbs of ad revenue money to make the little piglets' eyes pop out of their heads, getting them excited for making so much money from essentially shit/low-effort video content, then her profitable racket can continue. There's always plenty more piglets it seems.
And when the media gets hungry, when it's time to feed the media some bacon, Susan's quite happy to slaughter, slice, dice, chop, season, fry and serve that lovely bacon up to the media. That's the life of a Youtube piglet!

I can tell you why all his APPEALS are being declined, its very simple.
