I'm a few days late but, in response to people saying Russ is drying up, I think this is just an extended low ebb in activity. Fellow true crime tards will note that serial killers and family annihilators often come in mid-30s to 40s because the failure to thrive and gross entitlement reach a head. Will Russ reach either status? Probably not but the pathology is very similar. Russ is completely unable to thrive and has already flirted with petty crimes. His impulse control is in this weird liminal state where he's remarkably patient for certain things (scrimping for hooker trips) while also being utterly unable to control his sexual impulses (hitting on women). He's hanging on by a thread right now and once this move backfires, because of course it will, I think something is going to truly crack him. He's fairly slippery at avoiding true narc damage but he's running out of ways to cope and redirect his feelings. Moving to LV was a huge effort to essentially avoid the failure associated with the PO. Russ can't exactly move states next time someone calls him out and follows through. The TS lawsuit avenue is about to close permanently and he's running out of other lawsuits to distract himself and keep the delusions alive. If he gets labeled vexatious then that gets bricked off for good. He'll get a rep among hookers (again) and barred from all but the newest, most desperate girls (again) which is going to make it really hard to maintain the '10/10 hot stud' delusion. Where it gets a little scary is Russ has no internal life. He seems to feel no true joy outside of his delusions. Couple that with the absolutely prolific rage he has inside him, which is another long wordy boring post itself, and he just feels like a time bomb. The way he talks sounds like an idiot version of Howard Unruh. Empty, uncompromising, vengeful, and completely sure of his own superiority...until the "indignities" piled up too high for old Howie.

I really hope no one gets hurt but I think Russell's Big Day Out is coming soon. I hope he just fists himself on the floor of the Rio or something.

You hit the nail EXACTLY on the head and covered everything I too have been saying about Russ. Agreed that this is a low ebb. I think we will definitely see a boogaloo to the Erika case--likely with a different local girl. Patience, because this guy DEFINITELY is on track for either prison or six feet under.
